  1. very successfull evening.. VT front mount is in now and enigne is sitting nicely...doesnt feel like any extra vibration so i dont know what all the fuss was about to be honest :roll: Changed the Oil Breather valve that snapped during schrick fitting....credit to superglue...the broken one was still suck strong and i havent been able to pull it back apart yet :wink: Changed coolant and gave system a damn good flush with clean cold water. exhaust on saturday...cant wait :lol:

  4. i think they look ok actually.. excuse my dumbness but is that all the lights (on the side fitted with angels) or are they just side lights? or dipped? do they give out more light than standard?

  16. by the sounds of it pleanty of other people are using 15/50 so i think it will be ok..thanks for the concern though. can you get 10w50 then?? that would be a good compramise...thinner when cold, thick when warm

  20. :lol: yes i am paranoid..sorry. although when you drove it that time..it was being very quiet...its often noisier! im gonna try some 15w50 this time....just not sure what brand or anything.
  21. dad can get Carlube oil (any good?? i know its not brand name stuff but hey..) 15w50 for £20 for 5 litres...you can get 1 litre bottle aswell but not sure about the price. how do you mean?? you mean i want thinner oil over winter and thicker in summer?
  22. just thought i'd give you a sneaky peek at my lights aswell.. all rubbed down with 600 grade wet and dry and all masked up ready for painting. there actually sprayed now but still need a bit of work before i lacquer them.. anyway here they are...they'll be all done and fitted by the time i get the car back from the body shop next wednesday
  23. actually there isnt much more cut away than kevs and he has the VT mount ?? different engines just sit slightly different i guess? oh and its all getting painted on monday anyway so the bonnet will get done then...onlty a week..that wont cause any damage will it?
  24. quick question... i currently have synta silver 10w40 and its too noisey for my liking....im thinking a thicker oil may help quieten things down......but could a thicker oil lead to higher oil temps or am i talking absolute ballacks? out of interest my dad looking in one of his many car parts / guide books (he works for a motor factors) and the oil listed for any vr6 engine is 15w40 or 15w50..
