  1. i'll second that....my friend had the same thing on his vr6....noise wasnt tied into the speed of the engine or car, etc....off side wheel bearing was the culprit.
  2. i like the way the bonnet fits so nicely around the headlights...... pure class
  3. when i was 16 i started my first job at currys and my bos had just bought a vr6, black with black leather for about £11000. i loved it. i got my first car (a pug 305, then a year later i bought my CRX which i fell in love with...then i wanted something a little bigger and more comfortable but still as rare and fast...so i thought back to the corrado and started looking.....a month later i bought my 1995 vr6 with 80k for £4600..(not bad for a 3rd car!!!)..gave it a clean and stuck some storm alloys on it and there you go....short story. I was impressed with the handling after my crx as everyone on the honda forums had been telling me what a pig it is to drive. i'll probably keep it for a few years now though, its growing on me 8)
  4. this is why you have 4000 posts kev!!!!
  5. but the 28mm they were recomending would sit EVEN FURTHER out.... i have done a quick diagram and from what i can see it all fits front and back. just wondered if there was anything i had missed??
  6. I have seen some wheels on a gofl mk2 that i really like. Fondmetal 6800. looking at the website i see they dont make them to fit the corrado but they do for the mk4 golf. pcd 5x100, c/bore 57, 7x16 inch, 35mm offset. this should be ok??, they have other 7x16 inch wheels listed as 28mm offset for the corrado but im pretty sure these should be fine with 205/45/16 tyres. another thing.....how on earth do i find out the weight of these wheels?
  7. i had a similar thing. did they instal new speaker wire??? with mine i left the old speaker wire hanging but it was still in the loom somewhere (i still dont quite understand how or why) but the speaker wire was touching the car body and shorting the headunit out. taped them all up and its fine now! also if the speakers are wired up wrong and the contenuity is out on just one speaker....i.e the wires are crossed and you have the +ve and the -ve the wrong way round, it can cause the system to sound flat and crap HTH
  8. wow, that looks really nice! a thought  ....werent bigger rear wheels mainly designed for rear wheel drive cars....therefore??? doesnt it really mess up the handling of front wheel drive cars like the corrado?
  9. same headunit as kevhaywire i think anyway... no you dont need to get 50w speakers...any car speaker will be fine. the power rating on the back is what they will handle before blowing up and in the real world of normal car hifi set ups...it doesnt really mean anything. JBL are good and will sound loads better than the nokia ones.. personally i run kenwoods all round but thats just what i already had.
  10. but its germany!!!! nuff said
  11. but the yanks have a speed limit of 50-60 mph on their main highways!!!! i drove a ford F350 over there last year....this truck was enormous and wanted to rip my arm off......but i had to stick to 60mph cause there are cops everywhere. i wouldnt live there if you paid me!
  12. you can get some JBL replacements. dont know the model number but go into halfords and you'll see them. they look like a smaler version of the oval 6x9 speaker.
  13. something tells me that this wont have quite as good an uptake as the other thread.. out of interest, was that some kind of 'corrado forum meet up' ??
  14. actually the toyos are really good in the wet and im suprised you think the 539 wears slower??? from experience the 539 wears the sae if not quicker i use michelin pilot exalto. fantastic wet and dry and wears very slow!!! bout £80 per corner BlueVR6, is this the only time it has happened??? it could still be an oily patch!!!
  15. you guys must just drive harder than me
  16. hello, you shouldnt have got the back out that easily, unless there was oil / diesel etc... handling is generally pretty good when using half decent tyres. infact i was drving hard last night and realised i have never actually had the C step out on me!!!! you cannot adjust tracking or camber on the rear as far as i know...may be worth checking the tyres (are they worn etc???). how does it feel in the dry?? my bet is just a oil patch HTH
  17. wow, cant believe all the low mileage cars on there. glad i bought my 80.000 milers when i did......for £4600
  18. im completely opposite!!! i cant stand euro styling with the big wide wheels!!! looks awful in my opinion. I much prefer the uk styling scene!!!
  19. its not an off the shelf item by the looks of her gallery
  20. love the colour, skirts and the rear.....just cant get my head around the front.....looks like david couthard. as i say, lovely colour though
  21. too late mate im affraid. your best chance is looking on ebay for ppl selling one if they realise they cant actually afford it.
  22. wow, that is an absolute beauty!!!! do you ever bring it to the mainland? i have been to jersey and dont remember any 'big' roads? has it ever been over 70 mph in its life??? when did you fit the schriek and the wheels?
