  1. at last..... glad its finally going ahead
  2. Well i have just put my order in for the vr6 miltek system. Sent the cheque off today and should have it fitted before the end of the month. Now i can tell you all how it sounds and i can give it a direct comparison with my friends magnex on his vr6 corrado. Will keep you posted!
  3. so is there an easy explanation to the differences between this and swissol?? ta
  4. cool. im thinking about the chip aswell but its on the list after body work (in process of sorting) milltek exhaust (deposit sent) Milltek Sports CAT (still thinking about) then the Chip (maybe) I was wondering about bigger alloys aswell. mine isnt an actual storm though so its ok  why dont you buy the bigger wheels and keep the solitudes as spares and when you sell (if you sell) the buyer can decide which ones he wants
  5. wow...thats some impressive gains from just a chip. you feel it has been worth it then?? you can actually feel the difference when driving then aswell? Is that the only mod that has been done to your car? My quote was about £300 last time but now i expect it to be about £350 as the rust is slightly worse.....i get it cheap as i know the guy. i can ask if he will do you a similar price although you would have to travel to cambridge
  6. very nice. Do you know the actual power output before and after the rechip was done? what was the total cost? I have the basslink in my boot aswell. makes the stereo sound so much better IMO and it kicks out lots of power for such a compact unit. I have kenwood components in mine so im sure were getting a very similar sound from our stereos. What paint touch ups are you having done? Im having mine re-quoted this weekend. Some rust on the very front of the passenger wing, some rust on the bottom of the passenger door....general tidy up.
  7. can i have your lupo modded rear arm then  ?? what have you covered the hole from the rear wiper with or do you just have the spindle sticking up??? :|
  8. was it a special swissol product for wheels or just the normal wax stuff you thought would work on wheels aswell?? still pleased with the swissol stuff kev?? still need to buy the set for my car.... another thing to add to a long list
  9. very clean!!! what did you use for the tyres??
  10. the 3 bar idea is great....they use it all the time in america. you see a huge RV towing an equally huge yank car (for when they park the RV).
  11. i know i certainly do. i need to get it added to mine and i got mine in 2000
  12. i think you actually need a licence (or something adding to your licence) to tow.... or maybe thats just for newer licences.. 60mph max for towing though afaik but all roads are allowed!
  13. dont you need to specify the different TB though? OBD I and OBD II spring to mind from looking at previous threads.
  14. a friend of mine fitted a schrick to his passat vr6 in the states and it cost him $1500 with the current exchange rate thats £880 plus shipping it over here. would the passat be the same schrick for the corrado though???
  15. just called the ipswich branch. helpfull girl posted it out to me today should be here tomorrow.... cost a tenner all in but still cheaper than a new tensioner!!!!
  16. hmmm really like that green corrado. why do you say 'ebay corrado' did you buy it from ebay? looks very clean and tidy!!
  17. nice wheels but i hate to be the one to point it out to you....the tyre doesnt fit it properly...
  18. hmmmm. just phoned BSL and they have them at £4.68...... but they said they have a minimum order of £20????? anyone know somewhere more helpfull?? thanks
  19. did you ever get the pics done phat?? and is there a phone number or website for where you got the bearing...... im fed up of mine squeeling now so its about time i did something about it ta
  20. with the 17" wheels the rolling radius is slightly bigger which corrects the 10% inaccuracy of the speedo so yes you would get a more acurate reading. 150 on 17's though is impressive. when did you change to 5th and did it still pull?
  21. larkspeed sell the koni kit consisting of 4x koni t/a shocks and 4x koni springs for about £390. lowers the vr6 up to 40mm (not sure on other models but i think its the same) not too bumpy but looks nice and low now recommended by..................................me
  22. done 140 on the a11 at night....had the gps hooked up aswell and it read 128. there was still some pull in the old girl but not sure if it would have got to 140 as claimed???? oh and the speedo is out at high speeds. all you vr6 guys, if your speedo is reading 100 mph and your revs are 4000rpm then you actually doing about 90mph according to GPS technology (which is much more acurate than the speedo so i have been lead to believe by various articles)
  23. thats why i said i thought it was the best 'LOOKING' corrado. 8)
