not many standard g60's around anymore...most have had the charger reworked and upgraded...new pullys etc etc.. be easier to find an imaculate...partly modded one IMO or just get a propper corrado and get teh VR6 *ducks to miss the abuse thrown by respectable g60 drivers* -

3.5k would buy you some serious mods for the vr6 though... schrick vgi, cams, remap....no way a g60 would keep up with that is there?? -
having 6 gears he will be able to keep in the power band quite easily (if he knows what he's doing) hondata dont make ecu's as far as i remember....hondata is like vagcom...so he could be blowing smoke up ya ass there ??? they reved to about 7500 rpm as standard IIRC so unless he has spent serious money on valves, springs, de-limiting, re-mapping etc etc i doubt it does 9000rpm having driven a Civic Type R as standard i would say it would be pretty even, wouldnt fancie coming against him though if he has breathed on it like he says.

got to be the vr6. the 30-70 times beat the older shape M5... now thats rapid... 8) and you have to look at the cars std vs std, the the vr6 is better and faster. after £1k has been thrown at each im not sure? -
where would you get the engine from such a relatively new car..... scrap yards??? or buy a new one
-
i have it at home if no one gets it before then. you some times have to push them to buy it aswell... just say 'oh, phoned VW customer services who said i could get a hazzet tool from you.... etc etc.' i had heard they moved onto crappy black ones
-
i am thinking about getting rid of them and either fitting some proper driving lights or using the gap for some air intakes
-
sorry just seen your other post. how much are they likely to be? i think a full set of aftermarket ones for the VR6 are about £200 (front, rear and gearbox.) ta
-
Kev has new mounts already... i wouldnt mind a free set though if all i have to pay for is the fitting labour!
-
sounds like alot of hassle seeing as you can just buy aftermarket ones designed for the various engine sizes.. 2p
-
the fogs look crappy and yellow anyway... just get a good set of bulbs and make your own loom, or buy one off gav and all will become clear as.....well as clear as a good set of bosch bright blue bulbs 8)
-
yup, fronts can be used by themselves....but be warned.... if mr Plod sees you and is in a bad mood he will pull you over... i see plenty of twats driving round with just side lights and fog lights..the fogs are not designed to be used all the time.. if your having trouble seeing in the dark, get yourself an uprated loom and brighter bulbs. oh and put your fogs on for more than 5 seconds and the lenses will crack with the heat!!!! nice design VW

suprised no one has mentioned lowering the suspension, got to be the first thing done to any C
-
unless the 16v is different to the vr6 you dont need a special tool, just a good tool set
-
i didnt need one?? and i didnt use a hammer to undo any of it? which nut are you refering to?
-
The old shocks will work with the springs..........for a while......but your better off spending your money on some matching shocks after a while cause the standard ones wont last as long with the stiffer springs. IMO the Koni kit was fantastic value. £380 inc VAT which gives you 4 koni springs lowering car 40mm and 4 koni top adjustable shock. fitting was easy, if you have the tools. the corrado has some funny size bolts but luckyly my dad collects tools for a living  took about a day to do all four corners but we werent rushing. all you do is undo the top nut and the bottom nut / nuts and lift the sock / spring out in one. then you need some spring compressors for the fronts but the backs can be pushed down by hand HTH

the lupo ones work, our stock ones dont :) look in the 'lupo gti wiper' thread in the body mods section and all will be explained
-
cheers, any details, phone number etc. would they come to me? thanks
-

Small claims court?? A girl at work had some kids throw a full coke car on her bonnet (by accident they were messing around) anyway they said sorry and gave her their address.... parent got the quote and refused to pay cause it was about £200 + for new bonnet and spray etc etc..anyway she just called the court and asked if she had a case......1 month later after a brief hearing and court papers to the kids parents it was all paid 8) its a bitch when it happens..........and im not sure about that 'not being insured in a car park thing'???
-
im sure a while ago you were telling me how good the standard brakes are  stop spending money on your car...you'll only grumble about it later.
