  9. i like the golden rule. its just a thought right now but want to be prepared if i do, if i was to use a mk4 engine i could get the rev counter working with no hassle right but with mk5 it would be a different storey? also what about the fuel hoses ? some engines have 2 pipes and some only have one ?
  10. guys what would be the best 3.2 engine code to go for if i was doing the 3.2 conversion. any ups n down ?
  11. coolant temp sender for the ecu? when i had idle problems it was my maf but that was 24/7 not when it was hot or cold.
  12. cheers guys, yea i brought an airbox for it and the connection for it is right there, also found out why it was running ****e
  13. its for a car i dont realy care for all that much and cant justify spending stupid amounts on it so 2nd hand will do aslong as its not leaking of course, my corrado ones fine, but yea i was close to undoing the joints and makeing it up out of brake pipe fittings and a small female ended axle brake hose but i think the threads are a different size to the slave ?
  14. im after the flexy hose which skrews into the slave cylinder on an O2A gearbox , thankyou..
  15. ah before going to town with buying a new rad stat and bits n bobs for it get the car up to temp and check both rad hoses are getting hot! if the bottom hose is hot when its up to temp then its not the stat, could be your expansion tank cap, so idd start there as there cheap as chips,
  16. youv got determnation thats for sure, if that was me theres no blady way idd be buying a 3rd motor! good luck!
  17. just so you know i didnt use cutting wire on the side windows as the wire wanted to chaffe on the seals , i only used a crafts knife and a stanley knife to stab and slice the adhesive from the inside its realy not that hard just takes time and determination not to give up because your arms tired, just becareful not to slip and cut yourself if you do diy.
  18. you can buy specialist windscreen cutting wire on ebay which are cheap enough, side windows are a fkn nightmare to remove, simply because of the seal, you cant damge it! damage it and thats the window skrewed! the way i did it was pull back the seal on the vertical door jamb side and stab the adhesive untill you can run the blade down it, {at the same time pulling the seal out!} and then from the inside do the same thing along the horizontal edges and it will come out, fitting these are peice of p155 though, as above we did this diy and it turned out great, its a 2 man job though, as for the rear hatch glass keep it on the car , wont make it any easier if removed, remove all the inside trim so you can access the adhesive, the seal on the hatch just pulls out the same as the front,
  19. tbh i think its just had work done and the colour of the paint they mixed up didnt match 100% and where the paint peeled you can realy see the differance but the atlas grey i got was slightly darker but its not that noticeable,im happy with it :) hopefully be able to get stuck in next week with sorting out the running problems.,
  20. standard is exactly what im after aslong as its for a 16v 1.8/2.0 , how much do you want? is it already removed from the car ready for posting? pics?, cheers
