  1. sick! thanks buddy, was it prety easy to remove and tap in?
  2. yea im with ya, just dont have anything with a thread that big, but im sure i could come up with a puller of some sort, its just getting a part number so i can order one thats the problem , i'll look at my block tomo to see if theres any blank ones and then etka it.
  3. cheers buddy, anyone wouldnt happen to know the part number for the core plugs by any chance ? also the core plug to the AUX pump hard to remove? iv seen DIY vids on youtube on different engines and doesnt look to bad,
  4. only need the drivers side rear corner light, {not on the bootlid}, as my current one is cracked and the rest are spot on! inbox me , thanks
  5. hi guys, does the vr6 alternator bolt straight up on the mk4 bracket? cheers
  6. there allways destroying cars like this :( , on topgear usa a perfectly good mk1 caddy got destroyed , such a waste
  7. idle control valve? think i read awhile ago that if its sticking or being slow your motor can cut out due to the fact your motor wont be gettting any air when off the throttle.
  8. lol can some one measure there right side on there vr6 and post up the measurements, it might put my wheel straight....
  9. normaly idd be up for splashing out that kind of money for this sort of thing, my budgets way tighter then that tho, iv just messaged a few breakers so were see what they got, cheers. found this,http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Audi-TT-3-2-V6-R32-Oil-Sump-Part-number-021-103-603-Q-/320906693881?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4ab7878cf9
  10. lol if you were going down that road get it organised before you do it atleast then you can still drive it, also paint damage and rust can come from windscreen replacement especialy with the corrado, so its not something you want to rush!,
  11. awesome cheers for that, you wouldnt happen to know roughly how much the r32 oil pump is? none listed on ebay or euro carparts,
  12. another guerner!!! welcome :) which corrado you got? iv seen a few around,
  13. cool cheers, so basiclay the 4mo ecu doesnt need to know oil temp etc.. cant wait to get stuck in with this swap, stripped off the 24v oil sump today to clean it out and re seal it, good job i did as it seems to have a few tiny cracks on the bottom, looking on the outside looks like my sumps had a hard life, deep scores every where! so im on the hunt for another..
  14. yea gear puller is what you want, might be worth twating the centre with a hammer once you think the puller is tight enough, thats what i used, also might be worth spraying penetrateing fluid in there aswell, and yea those box sections under the car is where i jack mine up from, alto stronger then the sills, same with the back it has a nice big flat section, my sills dont get touched,, the big puller in this pic is exactly the same one i used, just put the hooks on to the back of hub and skrew it in, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HEAVY-DUTY-3PC-BEARING-HUB-GEAR-PULLER-SET-75MM-100MM-150MM-/180870740743?pt=UK_Hand_Tools_Equipment&hash=item2a1cbc7b07
  15. i kinda see what your saying, so the left side when on full lock is under more pressure then the right when on full lock, but wouldnt it of made the cracking noise when i tested whilst stationary?
  16. havent tested it in a car park yet, but it still makes the noise after tightening wishbone bolts up , also only seems make the noise when the wheels are turned over to turn left,
  17. hahah hello ;) yea the way the maf wireing was routed it would allow water to flow down into the plug and flood the connection, i only found this out a few days after i brought it home, i was washing the bonnet with the car running , and it just cut out, i was like er??? tryed starting it up and it idled up n down and then idled realy low with the battery light comming on then cut out and would continue to do so,, you could drive it but it was terrible!! after i found the plug i blew it out and used wd 40 to displace the moisture, worked perfect!! but even on damp mornings with a slight bit of moisture can effect it, the idle wont be right and your get a slight miss/hesitation up the rev range,

    Cat

yea i understand with it not being able to be re fitted, {de cat pipe}, although what ever you cut off the main pipe {to allow cat to be fitted} could be added to the decat pipe,or on ebay theres loads of companys that make exhaust couplings/ connectors to your spec, so you could get one made to allow for the peice thart needs to removed for the cat to be fitted, i.e a 150mm long x 57mm o.d connector.. also you could have one end flared for a bigger pipe if needed, slam on 2 clamps at either end and jobs a gooden! heres a replacement cat , granted its not original but it has a 2 year garuntee so it cant be that bad http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VOLKSWAGEN-CORRADO-2-9-VR6-Catalytic-Converter-Cat-/200697166815?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2eba7bbbdf

    Cat

yea im prety sure its longer then the cat so it can be cut to suit to your existing cat, also a thought, my system wasnt standard so my milltek catback wouldnt fit on to it, so the only way i could get it to fit was to buy a decat pipe so every thing was milltek from the DP back, is there any chance the replacement cat you have isnt standard?

    Cat

thought the milltek catback exhaust designed to fit on to the standard cat?
  21. a guy called matt who runs a company called Only charged Dubs, O.C.D is doing it, he mainly specializes in g60's.. those of you that have already done the 24v conversion, in regards to the oil temp and pressure senders in the 12v vr6 oil filter houseing, the 24v only has one sender in its filter houseing, what does that one sender do? {gives info to ecu which would then give that info on the mk4 dash/mfa ?} i'll need to use them 12v's senders or its wireing to keep the oil light from comming on in the dash and to retain the temp on the MFA, but that one sender on the 24v housing im guessing i dont need it?? cheers
  22. LOL think you should have left the original link up, but yea that is f ugly! looks like a toy RC car,
  23. i should have my modified loom back soon {1week hopefully} for my 2.8 BDE, so ill post some pics up of the plugs , might help,
  24. yea if you stick with 02A you dont have to make a gearbox mount, i havent looked into 6spd as im keeping 02a but im prety sure you would also have to change your shifter to the 6spd, also with the wireing im guessing your american? iv been told you can use the engine harness from a 24v eurovan as the eurovan uses ce2 fusebox, so that might be a huge advantage for you, iv tryed finding one but no luck, theres a guy on vortex that has this setup in his mk2 golf he says its just plug n play!! but my engine wireing is apperently getting done today!! so cant wait for that!!!! here check out 5th post down , that isnt the guy with the mk2 http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?5007074-24V-Vr6-Corrado/page4
  25. i think the easyiest way to tell maybe is by looking in the back of the car at the topmounts there , your have to remove the speaker trim peices that the parcel shelf sits on and pull back the carpet slightly, only real way to tell is by removeing it as the main one isnt realy visible unless its off, otherwise compare them both against each other, from looking at the top, wont take long to look at,
