  1. hard to say because everyone has there own opinion on this subject as there are people out there that will happily use them, my rear tires are slightly stretched {205/45's on a 9j rim} im happy to use them from a safety aspect as its not extreme but im paranoid about being stop checked as ill have to sort it out as the police are always right! The way i see it, is every tire manufacturer has a tire size chart and it says what width tire are allowed to fit on what width rim , stick to it or try to as best you can...
  2. check out your sizes here http://tyrestretch.com/7.0-165-45-R16/, the 165 on a 7j rim kinda takes the p155, i never used to mined having stretched tyres but idd rather not have any hassel from the police, just not worth the hassel and expense...
  3. yea i know where your comming from, just basically giving away £200 , i wouldnt even pay that for them though, i had a hard enough time letting my money go buying them new from vw a couple of years back even with discount! {£120? was around that}, As mentioned there only worth what someones willing to pay and theres always people out there that are more willing to let go of there cash then others, Fitcy can sell them for what he likes just we can sell cars for what we like, weather we/he gets an easy sale or a sale at all is a different story,
  4. Nice! , idd say pull strips off as its the perfect time and they could allways go back on later.
  5. not too much, iv fitted some and have pictures in my thread in members gallery, theres also a guide on here in the wiki section, just forum search and im sure your see them ,
  6. Have you checked what coolant temp reading the ecu is getting via vagcom when engines up to temp?
  7. to low at the back? make sure the two rear sunroof bolting points are sat above the metal tab and not under it, if you get me, thats all i can think of at the min.
  8. every body shops different and every cars different in terms of prep time, chips, small dents , rust spots ,poor previous paint job etc etc all add up to labour costs,
  9. master cylinder £152!! bosch master cylinder cost me £60! bosch is quality, Ask what brand was fitted wayne,
  10. Cant belive you want to sell up after all you have done, as it would seem there isnt much left that could go wrong and then, im assuming your want to buy another car to replace it? which again is a risk as that one might need money spending on. once the brake pipes and fluid have been done could you not just drive it as you would any other daily driver and not care about any small niggly faults? just trying to understand your madness ;)
  11. you wouldnt need to touch the abs or brake master etc etc at all, you would suck out all the crap fluid in the reservoir with a syringe/pipe, and fill with fresh fluid, you would then attach the one man bleeder to a rear brake bleed nipple and open nipple make sure the pipe goes into a clear container so you can check fluid colour, then you would get in the car and press the brake pedal down and then let it rise , rinse repeat until clear fluid appears into the container , might take 10 -15 pumps? do it slow and take your time! , do this on all four calipers untill you got nice clear fluid comming through, the brake pedal is just a pump and its essentially pumping fluid out and then refilling that fluid from the reservoir when pedal rises, also make sure the fluid is constantly topped up! if its not topped up then eventually it will draw air in through the reservoir, important- place a piece of wood or spacer block etc under the brake pedal before you start so that the brake pedal stops where it normally would when your braking, you dont want the pedal to go all the way to the floor,
  12. yea ^ lol , even though the clutch shares the same fluid , to bleed the clutch you dont have to replace the entire reservoir of fluid, you can renew the brake fluid yourself easily with the right stuff, syringe and pipe and one man non return valve brake bleeder, would cost you less then £20..
  13. unlucky bud, whats actually happened though, cant change gear?
  14. yea replace the top mounts and bearings at the same time,it all has to come off so your killing two birds with one stone in terms of labour costs as they are wear and tear items , Never had g60 top mounts as i have a vr6 , i would assume they would be an upgrade over the other 4 cylinder rados..
  15. no it doesnt :( haha, but looks like you got the bulk of it finished already! good job..
  16. make sure the window is able to travel up and down in the window channels freely, i had a mk4 golf that had a slight dent in the channel and sometimes the window would pick up on it and send it straight back down, i dont know much about windows on the corrado other then how to fit them so im just assuming the corrado has the same kind of anti hand chop off feature like the mk4 when it feels a restriction or something in the way etc
  17. For anyone wanting to know the quality of these!http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/400777974942?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&clk_rvr_id=842848815014&rmvSB=true its genuine bosch! so should be pretty damn good, turned up today so ill get that fitted soon ish..
  18. if i was in your shoes and wanted to keep the corrado and get it back on the roads ASAP, the quickest and cheapest option is to source another 2nd hand engine from some one either breaking a corrado thats still in the car to be heard running or take a chance and get one that has been removed from the car from someone that can be trusted, most engines are cheap! and if your not botherd about sprucing it up with paint and replacing bits etc then it wont take long in terms of labour to directly swap them over,
  19. good stuff! , its fairly easy to remove the door , once all the electrical plugs have been disconnected and vacum hose pulled off from door lock actuator thingy mo jig then you could try and pull the wires etc through and out the door but i just had an extra pair of hands and pulled the door way from the shell {once hinge bolts and check strap have been undone} whilst carefully pulling the wires out, P.s Doors are pretty weighty for what they are
  20. nice! looks like its going to clean up well.
  21. cant say for sure but its a good place to start, maybe run the guns without the mask and see,
  22. little buggers! like you say cant prove it but at least its sorted :)
  23. seen some 16" bbs LM reps on a forum members x car and i want/need some, they look to good!! problem is i cant find any for sale anywhere!! all of the ones on ebay are 17 + , iv looked on most of the popular alloy wheel sites with no luck and emailed quite a few with no luck! there a lot rarer then i thought, anybody know any wheel sites that might have these?
  24. Glad you got it sorted, any ideas on how that happened?
