  1. if its happening consistently with both guns then it could be an air supply issue, you might have to up the hose bore size to the air fed belt , im guessing your paint gun hose comes off the belt? so you got one hose the feeds both the gun and mask?
  2. possibly paint to thick for what size fluid tip your gun has, have a look at the technical data sheet for the paint your using and see what it says for what size fluid tip is needed for it, you can also see how much the paint can be thinned down by, you did make sure the internals were clean and debris free before you put paint in the gun? all ways check the needle air cap and inside is mint!, are you still using the little filter that sits at the bottom of the cup? if so then ditch it! all ways use a paint strainer when putting paint in the gun that way nothing other then decent paint gets put in the gun, any air flow restrictions to the gun?
  3. i went for this one in the end, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/400777974942?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  4. cheers jim, iv also had that when i brought the car , iv looked and nothings making contact even sprayed some penetrating fluid on the moving pedal bits with no effect, other wise the clutch pedal feels 100% its only when you hold it down for say a minute or longer that the return is rather sticky,
  5. right just to inform you guys , pressure bleed worked an absolute treat as it returns fine and the clutch biting point is were it needs to be but after holding the clutch down for an extended period of time, upon release its return is sticky you could use it like that but im guessing its only going to get worse and idd rather not get caught out by it, so iv got a new master cylinder comming as im sure its just worn seals/age related and probably the original one!
  6. so you werent being sarcastic lol, but yea i guess comming from a quicker car, for me it was the difference between 12v and 24v other then that i dont have anything else to compare the swap too. cant really count a toyota lwb panel van lol Oh yea!
  7. did you fit the starter? and do you have the old one? im guessing you only replaced it due to the problem you have had? put your old starter back in and see whats up then,
  8. if you have a factory immo thats in the ecu then yea it would log a fault code and it would start/run for about 1-2 seconds and then cut out, but if you have an after market immo/alarm setup then it wouldnt log an immo fault as that wouldnt be integrated with the ecu and i wouldnt of thought it would run or start at all like a factory immo failed start does
  9. so the engines not even turning over?
  10. i dont see none genuine wishbones as a quality issue in regards to safety otherwise they wouldnt be able to sell them, sure the paint/coating might not be as good as genuine but straight out the box there clean and need very little prep to be painted over with something to make them last for years which would make them better then genuine in that respect as they still rust, idd be more concerned with the quality of rubber and plastic with none genuine parts. I dont think it matters what you use to undo the bolts tbh, i used a breaker bar and it just sheared with no warning , i think its just one of them things where its either going to break or not regardless of what you use, i recon you can gauge how bad there going to be by how much rust is on the wishbones and sub frame as mine were pretty rusty but more time spent on trying to free it off before hand will be where its at, tapping the bolt head with a hammer to shock it will also help,
  11. haha makes it even worse that you did a good job of it :)
  12. you didnt?! lol , i was close to including do the repair on the backside but i didnt think i would need to hahaha , if you still got it though you might be able to pull the fibreglass off and fill and sand what ever it pulls off,
  13. may or may not help you but if its being re trimmed anyway then you can easily fix any snapped headliner with a fibre glass repair kit, just got to make sure its held in the right position as the resin sets,
  14. im with cleg giffords, they didnt want any extra money for the engine swap, they just wanted an engineers report done for saftey, But that could of cost an absolute mountain if i hadnt of found a guy that legally understood the swap, one garage said it wouldn't be worth taking on because if something went wrong its on them, All they need to know is that No structural modifications are necessary and it bolts in to the same oem mountings as before so aslong as its fine at the time of inspection then if anything happens after that then its no different to just maintaining and servicing a regular car.
  15. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-GOLF-MK3-VR6-CORRADO-VR6-FRONT-WISHBONE-R32-UPGRADE-C217-/191067021733?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&fits=Car+Make%3AVW%7CModel%3ACorrado&hash=item2c7c7b61a5
  16. number 2 is your biggest potential problem but if they do shear off you can drill it and tapp a new thread, absolute pita but quicker and easier then fitting another subframe, i purchased none genuine wishbones with r32 bushs already pressed in off ebay all new and there still good, i forget who the seller is but ebay search it if your interested.
  17. Looking Fresh!, shame about the paint cracking on the archs did they not warn you about it before they started? just be aware cracked paint is a recipe for rust, Flex polisher !! they aint value village. fairly comfy and light ? i use a cheap rotary but its weight makes it nasty to use..
  18. Name & shame and bann, this could of been sold to anyone of us here, unlucky i guess but some one would of brought them sooner or later. Hope you get some money back..
  19. lol Good luck with that sale,
  20. nice, my old house hold fan is absolutely mullard in overspray but it still goes strong, deffinatly rigging something up more permanent, not sure what to make of that non iso paint, doesnt seem to be very popular , and for a 2.5L kit seems very cheap and its also unbranded, it does state cure and dry times are longer but thats not an issue for diy use but that would be an issue for bodyshops, for me my concern would be how long the gloss lasts, you know how much work goes into it and its almost like taking a risk..
  21. lol dont use the hose full bore on it! just enough so its got a nice steady flow into the center of the sun roof, or point it straight up full bore for rain effect haha
  22. your setup sounds decent, im making an extractor fan from an old washing machine motor {with long fan belt} rigged up to a 240v 3pin plug into a speed controller adapter, your fans rigged to a battery or mains adapter?
  23. but your brave enough to remove the sunroof ;) your leak is an odd one! but i think if you get some one with a hose pipe on it whilst your in the car looking for it the leak will become clear, good luck!
  24. good job! yea i know what you mean, i had that feeling of wanting it out my gun, but you got plenty of time so dont even think about it , all paint manufacturer's have a "TDS" technical data sheet, and it will specify all the things like that and how to prep it and what its aloud to be put on top of etc etc, if you dont have a tds for that paint then ask them to email it as its worth a nosey,
