How to get head off with ARP studs need serious help
steveo29 replied to Bobert healetty's topic in Engine Bay
well? is it off yet? -
shows how good fvwsh is "missing subframe bolts" lol
-
hhhm sort of clear it up a bit darren so theres no point in having lots of boost cus the isv will vent it? and have you made in progress in dealing with it
-
ive read on a few posts on various forums that the g60 isv serves another function, it bleeds excessive boost that the ecu cant supply fuel for  well if this is the case, whats the point in in having mega boost/smaller pulleys if the isv just vents it off anyway my car currently has a jabba one way valve, which i assume disables that function
-
yeah if its low voltage try a brush pack for £10....most local rebuild companys can take care of it for cheap, i had bearings done for £30
-
id get the bosch one if poss

ive seen some people chain up the head and use an engine crane to put some force on it, youd need to make sure its chained in a way that lets it lift nice n straight sounds like your going to have some issues to put right if they used 2 gaskets -
i had a gsf one a while back and it was genuine bosch, id suggest you ring each place and ask what your getting maybe one is brand new and one rebuilt?
-
ecu with green letters have more timing on em

for gods sake dont let it go to jabba, mine was in trouble after 10k miles

i had a cat pipe from them and the fit was terrible, jmr wasnt overly helpfull either in the end i purchased some ss pipe and my dad made one thats a better fit...not as shiney but it fits right

yeah its screwed, then your left with 2 holes

i removed the flap wedge and swaped in a kr flap on mine ...seems to affect low speed driving a bit for me, like when creeping along in a car park etc..makes it very on/off
-
if you get a 16v tb the flap hasnt got the wedge on it on it....so swap the flap into your g60 one
-
i wonder if they will make it with non vw wheels and rear lights like the prototype?
