  1. okay ive decided to move my G4 c 600's dual zone proxy sensor to the roof, ive gutted half the car and ready to move it i cut the wire expecting there to be just a black/brown/red..but theres a bare braid running along inside and then the whole lot is wraped in foil the the normal outer covering what do i do to extend it??
  2. i said cables.....thicker cables are a nice upgrade!!
  3. done it now...hold record clears it when hooked up to 12v
  4. ak bodycraft in newmarket let me know if thats not too far, can pass on the number, he does top quality work and is a vw fan(20vt rallye)
  5. yeah 90a is a nice upgrade..straight swap, although a upgrade in batt/starter/alt cables would be nice too
  6. okay..well i guess im dumb!! i get the logworks2 monitor up-then file -download lm1 log and then it loads all the info on my screen if i go ahead and delete all the sessions, then click download lm1 log it loads em up again i need to clear the lm-1 machine??
  7. ok ive downloaded all the manuals...looks like alot of reading could you just tell how to clear the logs stored on the lm1 , as i need to do some runs in the morning thanks again
  8. okay ive had my lm-1 a while now..i can get logs of my runs easy enough, but it never came with a paper manual  the cd it came with installed logworks and lm programmer on my desktop basicly id like to know where to read up about how to use it properly, i kinda get the impression they assume you know what your doing anyway  main things that i need to know are how i wipe all the previous logs ive recorded ?? and is there any info on what afr's to aim for and thier affect on performance?? sns is taking care of my g60, but i also have a 16v k jet..i had a little play and cant seem to notice a differance in performance
  9. kev , what about if you flaten it, will the average battery charger be okay or do you need specailist stuff
  10. if the car looks and drives the way you want it to, and the price is right for you why not get it you could search for the one owner 50k mile car and it could still be trouble..take all cars as you find em, if the bodywork is sweet and and it runs and drives right get it. to be fair a car thats been stood years id prob worse in some ways than one thats driven
  11. i think the loose ball joint could be an idea, or could the rack mounts be loose?? sounds a bit dangerous, id get it looked at asap
  12. just wonder how the standard length leads fit...as the terminals are more towards the center arent they?? theres often good deals on ebay for optimas, id been looking at orange tops (they have the correct terminal layout for vw's) theyve been doing 3 for price of 2...so 3 for about £200
  13. ive got one and its fine...could you have damaged the signal wire?? email the seller..he's helpfull enough
  14. is the g60 and vr6 shifter identical?? i might have a look for a low milage replacement from a crashed car

  18. well...i do have the weight, oddly i prefer the feel without it the weight doesnt expalin why its randomly, like i said one minute its fine then next juntion or whatever i cant select first or it get jammed in reverse i wondered if the selector bit was worn ..no one can tell me if theyre a easy fix
  19. my g60 still has randomly bad shifting...somedays its close to perfect and others its nasty ive tried ajusting the cables etc, circlip is there, oil is fresh mt90 i figured i might try some 2nd parts on it....do vr6 gearstck and gear selector parts swap/same as g60?? its just ive heard people sa vr6's shift nicer than g60s
