Hi all I am about to complete my vr6 and use it for track days or commutes into work once or twice a month along some nice fastish a roads. I am looking for some info from anybody that uses there car for track days as I need to set up my suspension. The car runs 205/40/17 wheels due to the brakes plus it is fully poly-bushed on the rear with poly bushes on the front of the wishbones and r32 bushes on the rear.It also runs KW coil-overs that have been adjusted down pretty far but still allowing the drive shafts to run horizontal to the ground. The rear will also be fitted with an eibach camber kit and has a rear strut brace with strut braces on the front both upper and lower. It will eventually run the adjustable top mounts I have sitting. My question is what do people run with regards to camber and castor on the front and rear of there cars... Cheers Ryan

it's mk3 headlights and slam panel with the headlights either a mk4 style(which I can't find) or mk4 innards some how.
-
I've just fished the headlights out the garage and will report back. I am trying to decide if he has grafted on the front end of the mk4 wings......just for the curve round the headlights or if they are the original wings cause if you look the bonnet doesn't match exactly to the end of the wing. I need to find a mk4 slam panel before I try it though...

I like it. I think it's kind of shows what a modern corrado could look like. Give it an r32 engine, haldex system and a newer dashboard/interior and I think it would look good. It does look like a mk4 r32 bumper with mk4 headlights but I think theres been a lot of cutting and shutting for the wings and bumper. I have some mk4 headlights lying about I may just hold them up to see how much work it would be.... Here is a side view......

Hi all The silver reflectors in my headlights are way past there best and showing the orange undercoat through the silver. Does anyone know any where I can replacement reflectors instead of having to buy a full headlight cluster. Cheers Ryan

I have just got round to doing this but used a fiat bravo rad instead. The problem I have encountered now is the bottom hose point on the filler tank fouls the cross beam the old rad and power steering pump used to sit on. As I have relocated the power steering cooler and the new rad has different mounting points can I remove this cross beam completely as it seems to serve now purpose now as the engine has a separate mounting cross beam..... Cheers Ryan

sorry but has anyone tried this company: http://www.pesch.cz/ there is a group buy on another forum and there prices seem good and the quality seems good as well. They guy has said he would make other parts but would require 3 or more of the same component to be ordered. Dogger if your going to do a f/g bonnet/ wings and tailgate I would be interested. ---------- Post added at 11:22 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:21 PM ---------- sorry but has anyone tried this company: http://www.pesch.cz/ there is a group buy on another forum and there prices seem good and the quality seems good as well. Would you sell both the interior handles, the plastic parts that goes round the door release handles and the two triangular parts that sit on the inside down by the wing mirrors. cheers -
Fibreglass Parts - do you want anything fibreglassed?

Hi there I would be interested in front wings and bonnet. On a side note though if your guy can't do them on a separate forum they are using a company in CZ who seem to be good with reasonable prices....There is no C parts but he has said he will make them if he gets three or more on order. http://www.pesch.cz/ -
Hi Dave I had been looking into doing a mk4 shifter mod but can't find anything about but found this thread instead....would this be a better mod? what has actually been done to reduce the throw within the system? Cheers Ryan

Hi all I have decided to actually pull the c out the garage from under all the boxes and crap and get it ready for the summer....The front brakes have been sitting in the passenger foot-well and need rebuilt so does anyone know where I can get a repair kit as I could do with changing the seals and definitely need slider pins and new bolts...They are off a TT I was told when I bought it... Cheers

cheers john, So really I could do with grabbing the carriers aswell....will these fit 295mm discs? Still liking your car john. I noticed it at stonor park last year and ended up talking to you on your stand about carbon fiber boot lids and wiring problems with my vr6 as it had burnt out the wiring during a dashboard fire.
-
would the rear calipers off an audi a3 1.8t quattro work and is it just normal mk4 carriers or does it have to be 4 motion ones..... I know john sells the whole package but I have been offered these calipers cheap... So: Calipers:- audi a3 1.8t quattro? Carriers:- mk4 golf (gti?) Vented Discs:- ???????????

sorry for bringing up an old thread but has any one thought of using jaguar xj6 288mm vented rear discs with jag calipers and custom adapters......... Also if I had to fit the bigger 280mm brakes am I correct in thinking I have to machine an old brake disc down for a spacer and use mk4 rear carriers to fit the standard rear calipers....

Hi mate I have just rewired everything behind my dashboard and in the engine bay post dashboard fire and I can say it can be a nightmare. As said above some of your plugs(like the 2 pin red plug) don't actually connect to anything. The bentley manual is good but I referenced these drawings alot...(sorry stolen fro another forum) http://clubgti.com/forum/showthread.php?t=173722 and this http://clubgti.com/forum/showthread.php?t=219775 I wired everything up as per the CE2 fusebox and it worked first time(kindof). Hope that helps.

Hi all I have started to rebuild the engine bay in my vr6 and have found my coolant tank is split. Instead of buying a new tank I was going to fit a bmw rad like this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bmw-E36-318-Radiator-/150732836082?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2318608cf2#ht_499wt_1416 Should I have any issues..... I was also looking at fitting some slim line cooling fans and found these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/12-RADIATOR-COOLING-SLIM-FAN-LIKE-SPAL-PACET-KENLOWE-/140676509854?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item20c0f9309e#ht_7414wt_1390 Has anyone used them? If both they systems would work that would be great and I would be able to finish off my engine bay plus fitting a strut brace would be a lot easier if there was no header tank...... Ryan
-
Hi all Since I managed to break my header tank I have decided to go with an alloy version....I already have an alloy catch tank and power steering tank but does anyone on here use one? how have you mounted it? I have moved my battery to the boot and was looking at the square ones that I could mount down where the battery sat. By doing this it would also mean my strut brace would be easier to fit......also what pressure radiator cap would I need? Cheers Ryan

I managed to do this today. Lots and lots of hot water and an old bank card and they came of no problem. There was some little flecks of paint and the front passenger side wing has been replaced as it was mulberry purple beneath the side strip. I need to spray the wing and bumper anyway and I think it looks loads better already. I just need to debadge and smooth the rest of the car and sell my 17" bbs alloys for some banded steels and I will be happy.....
-
cheers for that....I think I will do the one and see as I am sure the car has been resprayed at somepoint....
-
As it is winter and my car is garaged till next year and is still in need of a bit of work doing I was looking to remove the side strips to try and clean it up and smooth it out a bit so was wondering if its a case of just heating them up and pulling them off or are they attached another way? cheers ryan

Hi all I am in the process of rebuilding my front brakes which are 312mm from an audi s3. They came fitted to the car but I am wondering what the difference would be if I fitted the normal 280mm brakes but with uprated pads and discs with braided hoses and 5.1 fluid which would then allow me to fit 15" wheels for track days. The 312mm discs a standard along with standard pads. The following on from this though is if they do the corrado sebring alloys in a five stud pattern as I did have a set on a golf but in 4 stud as they would be my alloys of choice... Ryan

Hi all Since I have removed my rear beam to replace it and at the same time fit new rear brakes and stainless braided pipes I decided to have a look at the solid lines....A few are looking like they could do with being replaced so I might as well when I have the system in bits... My question is are the pipes 6mm copper and do they have a single or double flare or are the bubbled at the end.... Has anyone any hints and tips.... Ryan
-
Hi all As the gear change on my car is a bit random I was looking to replace the cables but instead have had a look at the CAE ultra shifter....The website for some reason won't translate so I was wondering if anyone has one fitted. Is it a complete rod kit or is it still cables? Does anyone have a pic of one fitted? Cheers Ryan

Hi all I just went on to the performance trim website to order there carbon fibre roof and door cards only to find they have shut down..... Does anyone know anywhere else that makes these parts for the Raddo.... Ryan
