Also for the A piller I think some of those"screw caps/covers" from DIY places might well fit.

Well although the LED system maybe the best way to go I thought I'd give this a go for it's simplicity... took about an hour to do most of that was spent with the car wiring the actual unit was fitted in 5 mins. Heres the box...comes safely packaged Whats inside (I got the transformer aswell) With the heater control panel off. Remove these bits, they just pop off no problem. And the finished item.

Mostly I would agree karma is a great thing and seems to work better than anything else, however (theres always an however lol) firstly there was no actual phyisical violence just verbals, although admitidly the behavior was of the threatining kind. Secondly the phrase 'simple motoring misdemeanor' ... that I might attribute to tailgating but to deliberately swerve in front of an overtaking car? I certainly would not call that a simple motoring misdemeanor, I would categorize that as a far more serious and potentially far more dangerous maneuver than tailgating and although the other driver has quite obviousley got a really bad attitude to driving by tailgating in the first place the swerving shows up an equally bad attitude to other road users and had there been any kind of accident due to that action 'but he was tailgating me' would not wash with anyone. I'd say live and learn you can just about always let tailgaters past and by the very fact they are tailgating should tell you that you do not want to get involved with them in the first place, playing games and doing silly things is not the right aproach.

Well traveling to close to someone is a bit silly and the sort of thing that causes accidents however the same can also be said for deliberately swerving into the path of an overtaking vehicle to prevent them overtaking, wouldn't you say? I would think he would have every reason to be ****ed at you, and on balance what you did was probably far more dangerous.

Put on 2 new exhaust rubbers, needs a third, fixed rear exhaust heat shield mounting point and secured, replaced missing bolt in the rear exhaust clamp bracket and black waxoiled jacking points oh and coopersliped all the front wheel bolts.

Is this still happening?

Small update, have had this scuttle cover since before I actually bought the car ... so decided to fit it today. The bonnet window washers had been moved to the old scuttle panel so I have relocated them again to the wipers themselves. The panel itself is easy to fit albeit not a perfect fit, the 'dome' over the wiper motor is hard up against the motor which causes the whole thing to sit very slightly to high and the other end didn't want to line up with the engine side rubber very well but a bit of to-ing and fro-ing it seems to fit better.

So the light on the heater control panel is rubbish and I have read various posts on the various fixes but then have found this - http://moman.eu/volkswagen-passat-b3---b4---heater-control-panel,229,322.html would either of these (B4 preferably) fit the corrado they look the same but i'm not sure?

Yesterday not exactly to the Corrado but certainly for the corrado installed a ramp in front of the garage. So the Corrado has to spend a few days outside. Today I took her for her first road trip and was smiling all the way :). The trip threw up some gremlins thou, ABS light coming on sometimes under braking and not going of untill a stop and start, temp gauge not working/working/ not working again and the indicators stoped then started working, I do really hate intermitent faults.

I don't like wheel spacers, although i'm sure lots of people will say there is nothing wrong with fitting them I just think they are a bad idea, so when I noticed they were fitted to the Corrado i'd just bought I decided to remove them and this is what I found - The other side, not pictured, basically fell apart in my hands and is in bits. I'm not sure what exactly would have happened if they had decided to disintigrate at high speed but I wouldn't want to find out. So they are in the bin and I feel a little safer.

As far as I was aware it is illegal to be reversing onto a main road unguided so if that was the case then you would probably automaticly be to blame.

At last I got my hands on a VR6 only been looking for 6 months and managed to get this very nice example which i'm sure a lot of people are familiar with. So I thought I should start a build thread although i'm not planning a great deal over the summer months as I want to use her plus she is already pretty sorted. Pics - On her way to me - In the garage - My first changes - nice new gear knob and gaiter (LED), cream one needs a refurb and one of Daves brushed steel gear surrounds to add some bling. She is no longher C488ADO and has reverted to her origial number and I am still waiting to really get her out and about due to various paperwork issues but am so far enjoying my Corrado ownership.
