I've used the s2 and s3 wasn't really impressed, jailbreaking for me has never been a problem . If the phone goes faulty (which one hasn't ...yet lol) a restore gets rid of the jailbreak and apple are none the wiser... just for me the hacking side is easy and free apps with no extras to pay for suits me fine. The samsung is just a copy any way lol....(wait for the bite lol ) I think once you have a brand for a while untill something goes wrong people stay with the brand. Prior to getting my iphones i always had sony till there went sh*t and broke all the time. The misses got an LG touch screen something that was poo and we both got iphones...also iphones are good if you use/have itunes for your music collection

I've just upgraded from 3gs to 4s , the 5 will be full of bugs and glitches no doubt with a shed load of ios updates. I'll wait till the 5s comes out to upgrade again. The 4s is plenty for me 32gb and i jailbreak all my Iphone/pod/pad devices any way. I pay enough for handsets and contracts to pay for bloody apps. I thought the 4g in the states wasn't true 4g? i was there for 2 months beginning of year and i'm pretty sure i ask and was told it wasn't any better or supported yet. I might be wrong lol. Anyway sod the cheap Samsung get an Apple much better imo...

I've got 2 keys already lol small price to pay I think :)

Got ya mate cheers , I'll see what happens when the barrel arrives if I get it sorted I'll pop to vw and get a genuine switch and fit it straight away lol my box of spares is getting bigger . Vw wanted £55 for the barrel housing 2 so well over a hundred quid for all the bits from vw 😒I think I can live with a couple of holes in the old one

Just my experience with non vw parts hasn't been bad , just so much more easier to get hold off

No not genuine but seems less fragile than the white one that was fitted , I think if a new barrel doesn't sort it I'm gonna get a push button start fitted lol I know the switch works as I've started the car with a gs in the switch. Tbh it's bloody annoying as it just didn't start without any prior warning . Gotta love Corrados lol

Yeah it's fully in , i can only wait now for my barrel to arrive in the week :(

Well the key doesn't engage the switch the barrel does , the key only twists the barrel into the switch . Barrel must be worn out i think it's only thing I can think of

I'm after a bit of knowledge/advice.....After i've had my alarm removed , replaced the ignition switch my vr still won't start with the key. But a screwdriver in just the switch and it fires up , only thing i can think of now that its the ignition barrel is worn so it does engage the switch properly , has anyone had similar issues with the barrel? Anyway i got fed up and drilled it out ready for a new one as it surely can't be anything else ?? Can it... When you turn the key do the lights on the dash go out, battery oil etc... if so i reckon Ignition switch mate mine wont fire either , i've just ordered one off the bay £5 ish

My alarm was stopping mine to start with but turns out it was 2 faults, now it turns over but doesn't fire . Auto electrician looked at it today and my ignition switch is fried. He applied a voltage down one of the outputs from the switch when turning the key and vrooooooom!!! ignition switch needs replacing . £10 to fix when it arrives .

Turns out it was the alarm and the ignition switch was burnt out 2 , got there in the end...

I bought mine off him , to be fair I knew what I was taking on , he seemed friendly enough didn't try and hide anything test drive was a long run out not just round the block . I think he takes the best outta the cars he has sells them on to get a profit back , £1000 doesn't seem to be 2 unreasonable but a picture on eBay always looks good to u see it in the flesh...

I know you need one like but with postage and the hassle of removing everything bumper, slam , lights etc.. its not going much less . I did mine all in for about £120 with coolant all from GSF with trade . Just my opinion mate hope you get it sorted :)

True , i've got the dash fob thingy aswell that only armed and disarmed sum thing stopped the starter getting the power from the alarm circuit. I've emailed andy at trim wizzard if he knows anyone up near me he can recomend. I've just read that entire post lol thats why i've emailed him.. There was one firm in lincoln near me mentioned by slimg60 i've pinged them aswell ... i still along the lines of removing it all together. If i have to drive all the way to trim wizzard for a decent job i'll take the hit . Cheers for the tip tho

Well well, advice needed !!this morning she started fine drove to halfords picked up some spring compressors , go to leave turn key nothing !! check every fuse relay etc.. until i gave up rang rac good bloke tried allsorts even try to bypass alarm at the barrel . In the end i turn the key alarm sounds fob turns that off but i have to jump the starter from the battery . Car runs fine. Before the fob worked now it doesnt do cock all untill key is in the ignition and alarm is going off. Not even the closure or nothing the led on dash doesn't work anymore either. I think when the rac man tried to get the car going he might of disturbed the power to the alarm/immobilizer hence the fob not working now. I'm thinking just to remove the lot not bother with the alarm... hmmm just dont know does it cost much to remove the bloody thing ? Thanks in advance for any wise words Nath
