yep agreed, ran my golf up the strip but my rev counter wasnt working, so bounced it of the limiter a fair few times, needless to say a week later my charger grenaded

dunno, i have G40 plugs, magnicor leads and new bosch coil, dont know if they really make any difference

maybe a silly question, but why so little boost, with some people the G-lader pushing out 18psi av, why only 6psi av on the v6's, could you bolt a bahnbrenner to an R32/ vr engine, not counting the room for fitment (i know thats a problem)

yeah i have a helix clutch but plan for more than 300+ thus the quaiffe is the one for me now

how much power could a G60 box take with the vr internals and a LSD, what sort of power would it take to break, (a lot of drag racing action) i have a VR box for sale if n e ones interested as im going down the quaiffe 6 speed route now,

AMD said to me that the Cupra R 6 speed is the best box for fitment, anyone know how much the quaiffe 6 speeds are, with the straight cut gears??, stealths site wont reaconise my email address

cool thats what mine does sure its about 5-6 on start up then goes down to around 2-3 when warm

anyone else got a oil pressure guage, what sort of reading are you getting when you start the car in the morning, and what pressure should you be getting when warmed up

yeah straight cut one for me then, combined noises gearbox and the bahn brenner, don't know what the proposed torque is yet but it will be high, plus the car is for drag racing anyway, i believe the dude with gold golf doing 11's this year had the quaiffe box

how much power does a rebuilt g60 box with the vr internals take, as i soon plan to have over 300bhp and dont want to go spending all the cash on doing the box and dif if is gonna break, should i just stump up for a quaiffe 6 speed?? or different?

far out dude, long way anyway i have a friend who has a g60 in a mk 3 and as VR6 says it is slow so much difference between cars, and for some reason can only hit 125mph, such an overweight car

i think the trail has ended a sucess as theres 2 tescos near me that now sell the 99ron stuff, helpfully one of which is the on down the road from santa pod, so its moveing north now

john betz from bahnbrenner advised me to have uprated injector and it must be running on at least 98ron fuel, and yes the outlet on the bbm is small than that of the g-lader so new pipe work will be needed

i only use the car on wkends and for competing in the vwdrc and was tempted to use the JP racing fuel £40 for a 18ltr barrel at 118ron just wondering if it would actually make much difference than the tesco 99ron

what if you were using 118ron fuel in your car would you have to change things then

also why would your diy bracketry do damage surely that would help, as i did notice it's only held on by the 4 allen key bolts at one end, thought that was a bit wierd

ohh so if you give it lots it'll break, GREAT as my car is for drag racing and thats all i will be doing is hammering it, look forward to many repairs, ohh the wife will love this, i was led to believe it was a bolt on and forget charger that never needs serviceing well not for a long time anyway and that was indestructable, how long did it take you to break it the first time

wicked thats the same one size i have, did you say you have rebuilt the bahn brenner 3 times now, how often and why at what cost, sorry for the quiz

glad to here it, hope jabba learnt there lesson, jamesmilsome/samg60 what pulleys are you using and what sort of boost you getting, what would you compare it to g-lader style

sure i could do it myself, the g-lader is all off and wouldn't take 30mins but i want it all set-up at the same time, as i had a standard charger and std pulley, so this is gonna be a big supprise for me, can't wait
