Hello, Currently going through the process of a partial rebuild on my spare vr6 block, and am planning on going non stretch head bolts with plans of boost later this year, looking into arp and found these, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-VR6-12pt-Undercut-ARP-Head-Stud-Kit-/331085395636?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4d163a36b4 seems very expensive to me, is there an alternative? I'm pretty sure I've read somewhere that they're 12.9 high tensile so maybe some high tensile ones would do the job? Is there anything I'm missing here? Cheers
  4. Hello, Was just wondering if anyone knows if the lower ball joint bolts and captive nuts can be bought separately (not with a ball joint) ball joints are almost brand new, and would like to renew the bolts! I've had a ring around but no luck! Thanks

  6. Not being picky, but more for your sake (and your tyres), you seem to by running slight positive camber on the front (i think) when did you last have it aligned?

  8. I have the standard diff, and your theory works on both boxes, another quick question is, I have 5 degree play on the diff in my car, but absolutely none on my spare, this is when they are turn at the cups and both cold Thanks
  9. Ok, that happens, but the diff on my spare engine does that in neutral
  10. Actually that's a silly question, but when it's in neutral with the engine not running, if I spin either wheel either way, it doesn't move the other wheel at all
  11. So if I jack my car up in the air, start it and put it in gear the n/s wheel spins fine but the o/s wheel stutters, when I hold the n/s wheel the o/s wheel spins fine, the reason for all this is when it gets warm it gets real knocky Anyone know this? Cheers

Yeh it seems a lot of people go down the route of just ripping it out, but when it worked i really liked it! when i try to arm the system i get 4 flashes which means the was a problem locking the boot, which is wrong the boot always locks fine, and then this causes the system to think someone is breaking into the boot so it always goes off, i have the siren set to off, but it still flashes until i got and disarm it, at the moment i just use the key to lock it and the fob to unlock. Its a clifford concept 50, installed in 1997, everywhere i ring just tries to sell me a new system, and wont touch this one

  16. Would someone be able to confirm whether the Corrado's come as standard with central locking? Mine is fitted with a clifford alarm, and don't have any other experiences with other Corrado's! Cheers

  18. After checking the bentley, (slightly different setup) it seems as though the silver thing on the bottom of the oil filter housing is in fact a drain plug? Is this correct? I have never realised this probably mainly because the hole in mine is rounded, i assume its usually an allen drain plug is it? cheers

  21. Are the teeth on vr6 driveshaft/gearbox cups supposed to be flared or are mine shot [ATTACH]75134[/ATTACH] Notice how the teeth are fatter therefore lower on the gearbox end
