Hello all I know from standard the vr's and g60 look great on paper but what wrong with the 16v and 8v. I know for a fact and I stand by my 16v that they are great engines and with a slight modification to correct VW error (the way I put it lol) you can have a 16v producing from 160-175bhp with no probs and running great So why does everyone always over look them??? alex 2.1 16v (starting the revolution lol)

well just spoken to HIC who insured me and told me until im 25 no luck matey Also i got a reqoute from when i am 25 and its come down £158 !!!!!!!!!! I can believe a month can make such a difference

ok cool well make sure who ever installs it for you when they do the rolling road they dont trick the machine i.e they change the settings of air temp, air pressure etc as ive know rolling places to do this to make the car show its poducing more power than it really is alex 2.1 16v

Personall i think these mods for the K series manigement are usless and not worth any thing, u better of going down the pub and spending it there I know there has been someone on this forum argue with me to why it is good mod but i will give my point of view to why its not First of all the k-seris fuel system are mechanical system and all the brain controls is the ignition, idle & start up. Otherwise the more air that moves over the metering head the more fuel will pass. So i still can see how chip will give you better performance other than fooling the brain to give it more igniton timing. If it was electronic injectors i could understand as you can adjust how long these are open and you can control the fuel. When i built my engine running standard ECU system and ignition leads it produced 180bhp and now ive gone to a DTA system it produces 190 bhp maybe a bit more as it still needs some fine tunning. If you want more power from a engine you need to look at the engine itself. Port and polish, cams, rebuild so that the compression is back up etc chips are there to smooth out the power range which in many case releases more power but that was because it was losing power in the first place sorry to go on but thats my 2p's worth

Hello RobyD Yes it is a good price but Im also helping strip the car back to bare metal I dont mind as ive already done this once before plus im one of these guys that like to get involved in the car and i just dont like hand my car over to someone and letting them do all the work As if the guy is good from what i hear he is one of the best personally ive never used him before but im looking forward to seeing the end result :D once the car is done i will be in a better position to recomend

what engine wise? body wise? ICE wise? those are the three parts that are getting the make overs :-) lets just say more leather, more smootheness and more power :cheers:

lol thats my dad owns a cafe/resturant and he keeps his stock there u should see it in summer then ull now what supplies is lol at the mo he is stocking up on champers and chocolates for xmas parties etc :lol:

i will say go for a 16v cheap and cheerful personally i think its the best one but then my 16v is not normal lol
