As above ^^ passed its first MOT (when I've owned it) and had a full service that didn't break the bank. Very pleased.

Weekend Warrior for me. Do far too many miles to use the VR6 daily, it would bankrupt me. I prefer that as well, like to keep it special, a car for the weekends, when weathers nice. As many have said, the constant supply of cars for breaking you see explains the dropping numbers, its getting hard to find one in very good condition. I'm want to keeping mine on the road though. Only had it for a few months, and can't see myself selling it.

Hi All, Just looking at getting another fog lamp for my VR6. Apparently two types were used between the early and later cars. Is this true? ...If so how do you spot the difference between them? I've been having a search, but can't seem to find any details about this. Cheers

Another load of cowboys are National tires. I've met three people who say they use the "there's a hole in your exhaust" line. "Thats funny its been fine until now"

I'll have to see what happens when if finally get one (should be soon) I think the "its a banger because its an L reg" is very true. I don't understand people who get daft Hire purcahse loans to buy the latest BMW or Merc. I'm sure I see more Mercs round the West Midlands than I do Ford Mondeo's! Not exactly exclusive anymore. I'd much rather be driving something with a bit more character anyway. I would ignore them, not worth risking an accident or incident.

I keep seeing a heavily modified lupo with one on the way to work, looks daft. : S

1) Has never driven a Corrado! (no really!? Needs sorting out soon or I'm going to go more insane) 2) Is also a little obsessed with cats and Ale (not at the same time) 3) Hates most modern cars (all look the same)

Hiya, Apologies if this has come up in the past. I've got couple of questions about engine, technical manuals. I'm looking for some good technical books for a Vr6. It seems that Haynes didn't do a specific manual for the Corrado (a shame). Looking through a few posts I can see a few mentioning the Bora Vr6 manuals (as they shared the same engine right?). Is this one most people use? I can also see the Volkswagen Repair manual for sale for about 90 - 120 quid. Is this book worth the money?

Hello I'm looking at a number of Vr6's at the moment, and I'm wondering how many miles they generally do before they need a proper strip down and rebuild? (would depend on how well its been looked after I suppose) From my searching it seems about 130k's the number? :scratch: Cheers

Cheers for the advice. The only thing I thing I worry about if your just wanting a drive of a car, is wasting the persons time that's selling it. I guess if your just honest or offer to pay for the time, then its not so bad...
