I know its not a corrado(SORRY), but my new car to the collection
Erallus replied to vw bobby's topic in General Car Chat
Worth the trip though, that's commitment. : ) GTD's: http://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/?utf8=%E2%9C%93&q=golf+gtd I assume the mk2 one is third in the list. Look at Jetta GT's!!!! http://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/?utf8=%E2%9C%93&q=jetta+gt Very rare, so you've got a good one there. -

Very nice! I've been half looking for a Mk2 GTD or a Jetta GT (if that's the diesel one?), I'd love to to have one as a daily. Well done finding this. I'm sure last time I checked I only saw 124 GTD's left on the "how many left" on the site. Getting rare -
I really hate ebay : ) so many idiots

Hi all, Hopefully just a quick one. I'm looking at changing my ISV today. I've cleaned the replacement with carb cleaner, I remember reading somewhere on here that I also need to lubricate it with a little oil. Is that true, if so do I just put a few drops inside, let it work its way around? Cheers

Any pics? : ) -
"I XXXXed it up" - Too right you did mate. Hope it gets saved. I must admit the idea of saving one that's possibly destined for the scrap heap appeals more than buying a minter.

I'd be up for that, in Cleedownton/ludlow during the week

What design features of the Corrado keeps it so "upto date"?
Erallus replied to Mawrick's topic in Off-topic Chat
I think the overall shape looks more modern than other cars of the era. The small rims are very 90's though. But that said, I prefer that to large wheels with low profile tyre's that cost a fortune. (Looking at my bosses brand new BMW 5 series with huge wheels) -
Am I imagining a difference in performance? - Fuel related
Erallus replied to DPS's topic in General Car Chat
IS it true premium fuel (ie the more expensive higher octane fuel at petrol stations) can damage an engine if you use it all the time? There's a "mechanic" at work that told me this, not sure if there's any truth in it? -
Hi there, Congrats on the car I work in Ludlow, so fairly close to me!

Random article featuring a Corrado on Sniff Petrol..

Made me laugh. He's right it does need rescuing. Shame to let it rot. -
Blue Corrado, Burnt tree traffic lights - going towards Dudley 05/06/14 around 18:30

Congrats! Looks great as a wedding Car. Mine made an appearance as the Groom/Best mans car. Made sure I got the photographer to take some pics of it. The wife was in Bentley flying spur, or something like that (not my cup of tea).

I'd feel guilty breaking mine, you see a lot being broken, always a shame. All the condition 2 and three cars will be gone one day.

This threads got me thinking, I don't think I've ever used the rear wiper...

Hi Ian, Nice work. Graham had your old car last week, when I took it in for its service and MOT. :thumbleft: I take it removing the foam and leaving it like that will make the engine louder? Cheers

I Was able to get a Flash red can at Halfords, they seemed to have a few other VW red's as well.

Put it in for its MOT, which its failed due to tin worm. Looks like there's a fair amount of rust near the rear seat belt mounting point. :pale:

Just an update on this one, I changed the blue temp sensor, that didn't seem to do anything (although the old one looked very old, so still worthwhile methinks), gave the ISV a clean, which sorted the issue for a week or two, but now its back. I have a spare ISV, so I'm going to swap these out, see what happens Cheers again for the help

Brilliant : )

I'm 28, mines about £400 on a classic policy, six years no claims insured as a second car. There always a good place to go, seem to be cheaper, but you don't accumulate no claims, and the mileage is normally limited (generally)

Agreed, I remember reading about this when I lived down there. I could see the argument if everyone drove very old, not looked after cars, you'd have a similar pollution problem as they do in new Delhi, as an example. But that's not the case here, just looks like an excuse to get more money out of people, whilst seaming to be doing something about the environment. You shouldn't be forced to buy brand new, overpriced cars on finance that you can't afford.
