  1. Supply voltage error can come from a dodgy earth or if you've ever had a flat battery! Best clear it and see if it comes back.
  2. Haven't got a clue what the differences are I'm afraid :-( Storm production was spread throughout the '95 Model Year, so you could have a chasis code less than 50-S-003001
  3. quite a good hot air intake that!
  4. watch out for clueless dealers giving you the wrong type - they changed the cable slightly: Part numbers for rhd manaul gearbox 2.9 VR6's up to chasis 50-R-017000 - 536 721 555 A chasis 50-S-003001 onwards - 536 721 555 E
  5. Tools you would need are screwdrivers and a hacksaw? Big K&N cone filter (might be more in the region of £30 - £45 ), some aluminium tubing (3"???) and a 90degree bend. See DIY CAI for some pointers...[/url]
  6. "Use the search Luke!" http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... ght=galaxy
  7. see http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... torder=asc ;-)
  8. If you need 'em... Parts nos are 535 853 679 QN5 for the early red type 535 853 679 GX2 for the later chrome type (found using the search ;-) )
  9. It's because UPS sponsored the Porsche GT3 racing car in Germany about 5 years ago. Ahhhhhhhhh I see :-) ... suddenly everything becomes clear ;-)
  10. True - some great cars - but what's the fascination with the colour brown? and the UPS Corrado's got a UPS uniformed gimp to go with it
  11. Talking with the owner of dubsport on that day he mentioned some interesting facts about their Sun rollers: i. when they were first installed they were producing very low crank HP figures for stock ("benchmark") cars. ii. on several re-visits Sun checked them and pronounced them as 100% accurate. iii. when he threatened to have them ripped out and sent back to Sun they came back, fiddled with the software and low and behold the crank HP figures went up! iv. the rollers cost around £25k - he's got to recoup his investment by pulling punters in and sending them away with nice graphs and BIG figures . :-) read into that what you will ;-)
  12. Anyone had them changed and got a receipt/invoice handy - need to confirm the part number (local VW dealers parts depts all useless... :-( )
  13. Not difficult at all - the hard bit is getting hold of 16pin OBD connector - my conversion (ahem *cough* bodge ;-) ) is a bit more free-form :-)
  14. can anyone that's changed the rear calipers for MkIV (alloy) ones confirm part numbers for me? How does 1J0 615 423/4 A sound?
  15. $599? Wow that's a bit OTT :-) I bought a cheap serial lead from German ebay and just registered the software alone with Ross tech - worked out a bit cheaper. Is the $599 kit the only one that comes with a 2x2 connector? Just get the $200 16pin obd stylee connector jobbie and make an adapter to connect to your 2x2's... You can de-activate the s/w which generates a key that you give to ross-tech and then re-install it on another machine and they'll give you your next activation key free... (hope that made sense :?
  16. Try this:- Disconnect battery - put keys in ignition and turn to "ignition on" position - reconnect battery - turn ignition off Then press & hold the remote button for 20 seconds to re-sync the fob with the main alarm....
  17. Only a handful, this is about the 5th one I've ever heard of, and those have all been VR6s including a couple of storms. There's a red one I've seen a few times on the way to work that lives somewhere North Liverpool/Crosby - P***HKA - not a VR6 though - could be 8v/16v ???
  18. It's not just as simple as "doing a copy" - even if it were legal :-) The copy protection in VAG-COM once it's registered means that it will only run on the PC that it was installed on... :-(
  19. It's not an immobiliser fault is it?
  20. Chasis ground and signal ground are both connected together anyway - as long as you connect to one of them... :-)
  21. I think the pukka VW tool can talk to a G60, but the shareware VAG-COM version can't.
  22. Mystic blue Storm, M***LTF southbound on the M6, just before the M6 Toll branches off. About 15:00 yesterday Tue 25th - gave you a wave as I went past :-)
  23. Sorry - the bits you wanted weren't there after all :-) try these...
  24. Have a look in this thread here: http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7209 Diagrams of both types of connectors...
