I'll be honest and say I'm leaning towards selling it rather than stripping it and taking it back to standard.

Sadly I've had to take the car off the road as from April as I need the funds for something else. There is a big possibility I might have to strip the car of it's upgrades of which there are many if you care to read this whole thread so lookout for some juicy for sale ads. The car will most likely be put back to standard or as far as I can and kept tucked away in my garage until I decide it's future.

Phil, Can you PM me your email address and I'll send the install guide. Looking at about a week turnaround time. Dave

PM replied to.

Don't have any at the moment, afraid it's down to folk not sending them back.

Sean, not on your own, my exhaust knocks at times too with stuff in the boot or when running over large bumps/holes. -

Yeah that's better Sean, pretty much like mine now. -
I fitted Golf Mk4 Recaros to my B5.5 Passat and they are a tall seat but perfect for the Passat, I did look at fitting them into my Corrado but decided against it. The TT are a shallower seat but they are designed to fit a sports coupe with a low roof as per the Corrado and I think the mounting is different to the Mk4 type seat.

Yep I'm with Virgin too and have been for years going back to the days of Diamond Cable. I have XL TV (no movie channels), Phone, 50mb Broadband and pay considerably less than £90 but that's down to loyalty discounts. Yep I'm reasonably happy with the service but agreed the phone support needs work.

Thanks Sean much appreciated. What did you do with the rear bump stops? I left mine standard and it sat too high so lopped 25mm off and that's how it sits now. -
I can sell you just 1 if you don't want a full set. I had a full set and sold one a while back so the rest will be sold individually.

The instructions state to use top plates with a particular vw part number so I bought them in preparation, sold my old ones. I think they turned out to be the same anyway. Sean, the rears on my B12 kit aren't as low as yours. -
Nice to meet you too Wayne.

1. It replaces the striker arm which is the part that breaks. 2. No, check that the White plastic clip is present and fitted properly. 3. Yes you get an install guide. 4. Yes you need to remove the door card. 5. £32 posted for both sides. 6. I'm just off M1 J25 not M25. 7. £5 per handle plus postage back to you. Dave -
Door handle repair kit..........THEY ARE NOW AVAILABLE
daves16v replied to daves16v's topic in Suppliers Forum
Looking at Wayne's photo it seems the little White clip (visible between handle and door panel)is there but it doesn't look like it's fitted properly. There shouldn't be any gap between handle and door panel. The clip is fitted to the door panel and then the handle slides onto it. -
Door handle repair kit..........THEY ARE NOW AVAILABLE
daves16v replied to daves16v's topic in Suppliers Forum
Sounds like you have a screw missing that holds the handle into the door, check on the end of the door near the lock. The handle may still operate correctly but because it's being pulled away from the door the internal striker on the handle isn't pressing down on the lever inside the door. The key not unlocking the door maybe related, sort the handle screw first. -
Had my B12 kit on a few months now, check out the pics for ride height here http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=48656&page=39

Think I should be ok for this.

Reminds me of the time I did mine last year, I think I did almost exactly what you have done to the block. I didn't go Red with the cam cover tho. Good work!
-
Ok Chris no probs, I do have 1 left in stock provided no one gets in before you. Chris (TrumpieVr) I think is having the other.
