To remove the sunroof panel you need to tilt it to access the 2 screws each side. To remove the sunroof cassette you have to drop the headlining to gain access to the mounting bolts.

I've got this problem too but it's intermittent. I've changed the crank sensor without success and now it's down to a wiring and/or dirty plug connection somewhere. Try cleaning the connections at the ECU, the large round plug at the back of the head right hand side and also the connection to the crank sensor. This is what I'm doing. Hope this helps.

It screws into a removable plastic piece that sits just under the wind deflector, to remove it the deflector needs to be in the tilted position. I had exactly the same problem last week, I repaired mine but you can get a replacement from the dealer.

Fitted a moonroof at the weekend, had few small issues but nothing major. Interestingly it came off a Seat Ibiza and the curve of the glass panel is a perfect match for the Corrado, much better than a Passat roof. In the last week I've learned quite a bit about 'moonroof into a Corrado' and also had one in my old valver so I think I'll start a new thread to try to make things a little more definitive. Anyway here's some pics.

Yep enjoyed the show again this year and again the weather was kind. Congrats to Jude taking third in the water cooled show and shine. And yet again my VR failed to start but after lifting the bonnet for 15mins to let it cool it fired up, thanks once again to CrazyDave for helping me out. Oh Dave, I adjusted my throttle angle to 14 degrees, it's better off throttle now. Thanks. -

Headlining / Sunroof aperture trim - recolouring

I need to paint my sunroof panel, preferably the same Grey colour as standard, anyone know if its available? If not then a darker contrasting Grey would do. As I'll be doing it in-situ is there a brush on paint that I can apply using a 'stipple' method? Cheers -

Kip, cheers for the help, took the relay out and fixed a dodgy solder joint so hopefully it's sorted now. Think I will buy a new relay just for peace of mind. -

Anywhere will do for me. -
Anyone got any VR inlet manifold gaskets they want rid of cheap? Looking for both plus the throttle body gasket if possible. I know they can be had from the stealer but they're a little pricey at the moment and it's usually the sort of thing peeps have lying around and no use for. Thanks

As promised, see pics for the satin finished surround.

I'm sure they're not adjustable, it's just a plastic cap. Have a good look at it, there maybe some distortion somewhere.
-
Could be that the replacement handle is on it's way out too. Have a look at the striker arm (the bit that usually breaks) to see if it's bent.

Thanks Kip, I'll have a look. Probably best if I try another relay. -

There is a slim chance I won't be going in the VR as I'm still having the same problem I had at the National Day despite changing the crank sensor. From what I can gather when the car has been standing in warm weather for a few hours it refuses to start. After changing the crank sensor this afternoon it fired up no probs but after sitting in the sun it now refuses to start. I will let you know if I have to give up my slot on the stand. Not happy now. -
As a cheap fix I tried using a super bright LED, don't waste your money it doesn't work.
-
Kip, yeah got your PM thanks. I believe Mark has replied for the both of us. Thanks Dave
-
Kev, I'll take the used sensor please, can I Paypal gift the cash? Thanks Dave
-
Anyone else got one as I'm without car?
-
emu, can you let me know when you have the sensor off so I can send payment. Thanks mate Dave

My kit won't solve your C/L problem but if the door can be opened from the inside and NOT from the outside then my kit will fit that problem.
