  1. OBD2 manifold/throttle brackets...........
  2. You need to contain and recirculate the blast media, failure to do this will result in media loss and expense to replenish. If you can achieve this DIY then all ok but it really depends on how much you will be doing.
  3. Nathan, give me a shout when you're ready.
  4. Seems I am predictable. Of course I'll post up if it happens.
  5. Rob, totally agree mate, my VR is not my daily but it's insured and taxed all year round, love it!
  6. Haha, am I that predictable?
  7. I can't help with a replacement elbow but could I have yours when it's off?
  8. More than I wanted to pay at the moment, I'll watch your ebay add with interest.
  9. Interested in the plastic rocker cover, is it undamaged and what's your best price?
  10. Want to stay with Canon as I've got other Canon lenses, accs etc. Will be in touch soon hopefully.
  11. I could well be interested if it's still around in the next few weeks, my daughter has boggered off to Uni with my 400D as she's doing Photography. Just need to sell my Passat.
  12. Nothing to worry about, I've had stuff fail one after the other and so have a lot of people on here. They're getting on a bit now so expect problems, you'll have em all fixed soon albeit with very empty pockets and wallet. Chin up.
  13. Kev, he's talking about the Corrado motor with the Ibiza/Passat blind. The Corrado motor can't drag the roof fully back because the vent/handle on the blind physically stops it, there is no restriction on the Corrado blind so it's not a problem. I had this also with my Ibiza roof a few weeks back. Once the shorter duration Passat motor was fitted the blind stopped just short of any blind to roof interference.
  14. No, I didn't touch the brake bias valve, at the end of the day you're trying to push fluid out so it shouldn't matter what position the valve is sat at as long as you're getting flow. Jacked up one side at a time.
  15. I did mine a few weeks back after replacing the front and rear rigid and flexi lines. I did it with ignition on, jack rear up and remove near side wheel (purely for accessibility and the same for the other 3 wheels), bleed, move onto rear offside, then front nearside, then front offside (note - working furthest from reservoir). My pedal feel and stopping performance is just excellent, I do have 288's with VAG pads and discs and braided hoses all round though.
  16. Same happened to my car, removed it and probably won't replace it as it's not caused me a problem apart from it looking a little unfinished. My money will be spent on stuff a little more worthwhile.
  17. Are they referring to the towing eye covers?
  18. Nice work Pete, I think you are at the same stage as me in terms of the OBD2 conversion, got all the parts, just need to fit by end of Oct. I was thinking of doing the same with my inlet manifold, how long did it take to get to the polished finish?
  19. Good stuff Kev, looking forward to seeing this done.
  20. Thanks for the comments guys, yeah the bay is coming along nicely, still got a few more touches to do yet.
