  1. Don't know if anyone has used these before, I've just ordered some Genuine VAG spray paint and lacquer. http://www.zakparts.com/ You have to pay for postage but could be handy if you can't get to the stealers.
  2. Item 13, part number is 357 837 242
  3. Ok, first you need to get hold of a new clip, they're still available form the dealer and are pennies. Check that the striker arm is still intact.
  4. Nice one Andy, did it go to someone on here?
  5. Yeah was very well hidden, it did cross my mind that it's probably a common problem and if not caught soon it's gonna spread quite badly. Will be cutting the bad out and making up new pieces immediately.
  6. Was the body of the handle loose? Do you still have the screw present in the door shut area? Also looks like you have a white clip missing off the door skin.
  7. ..........bottom of the rear arch on both sides and I can get a finger in. I've removed as much loose and rusty metal so what you see is about the extent of it but I need to get the back up, wheels off and cut out the little remaining rust. Time to start cutting steel patches and welding up. I did consider throwing the towel in when it started dropping to bits but no, I'm in it for the long haul.
  8. Exactly what happened to me Jim, lost the love for the VR when I used it as a daily. Now I have the daily TDi Passat the VR is getting some attention and hopefully will be back on the road in about 2 weeks but ONLY as a 'hobby' car. I'd let the 16v go and buy a small diesel as a daily.
  9. Remainder posted today. PM me if interested in a set.
  10. I think maybe you've just answered your own question, coming to an ebay shop soon.
  11. The switch is built into the handle so I doubt very much these can be replaced, unless someone knows different, I've never heard of it being done.
  12. Have look at this, it may help - http://www.wagenstad.com/index.php?modid=115&page=1-22-50
  13. Sounds like the mounting are shot, can you grips on them from underneath?
  14. Just found the pic of said broken wires.
  15. Inside the door there are 3 wires that come together in the central locking loom, mine had corrosion in that joint on both sides hence the central locking didn't work on both sides. You might have that problem on the driver side only.
  16. Jim, no bad feedback but I've had good suggestions for improvement.
  17. I'm starting to post these out from tomorrow so some will get them sooner than others put only by 2 or 3 days. I'd appreciate some feedback on these if you don't mind, good or bad, I can take it. Thanks Dave
  18. Well I didn't think they would be this popular, PM's replied to. Thanks Dave
  19. See here - http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?56303-Polished-Stainless-Radiator-Brackets
  20. Polished Stainless Steel Radiator Brackets with Polished Caphead Screw. I've had a few requests for these just lately so thought I'd offer these to forum members as a feeler to start with. They're available for the VR6 and 16v, I'm guessing that the radiators on the G60 and 8v will be the same as the 16v unless someone can tell me different. These are a direct swap and don't need much maintenance to keep them shining. Price is £22.50 for a pair including P+P. Drop me a PM if interested. Thanks Dave
