VR6 belt tensioner bearing replacement - how to.

Had a go at this yesterday, just got to be careful to take enough off the pulley to allow the bearing to be pushed out. New bearing went in ok. Didn't solve my problem though, turned out to be a noisy alternator. Oh well, at least the tensioner bearing is done. -
Kev, what about the leads for the Bosch pack? Do they require different ends or will the std VR leads fit? Just trying to decide what will be cheaper/better kit - Ford Pack & non standard leads v Bosch Pack & std VR leads. Edit - OT, Kev can't seem to find details you posted about aux pump replacement with R32 item, need to replace as it's leaking bit quicker, Ta.

Good work Andi, just need time to get to know the new layout. Have noticed when you click settings all previously subscribed threads have been reset, no real problem for me. Also in settings it appears to show all existing 'read' messages as 'New Messages' so upon first glance it looks like you've got lots of new messages. -

I've had some light/off throttle problems for a while so I'm gonna give this Ford coil a go. Anyone know if the Mondeo/Cougar 2.5 V6 coil will work, it physically looks the same? Have already changed the plugs and leads last year. Edit - just checked the Vortex thread a little better and it appears someone has used the Mondeo/Cougar coilpack without any problems - Page 9 at the bottom, part number matches too - F5SU-12029-AA

Kev, is the Bosch pack a straight swap for the original as in same mounting points/dims and same connector?

As far as I can tell there sets from late and early handles, can't remember which way round but 1 set is numbered 1 to 4, the other set is not numbered at all. From memory I think I've mixed them when retumbling, seemed to work ok.

David, I've got some but rather not give them all away as I need some for spares myself. If you know which ones you need then I'll send them or I can send what I have and you can return the ones you don't use?

A mate at work has been off ill for months and he came back a few weeks ago but without transport so he asked me for a lift home, he wasn't sure what car I had now without seeing it. He's 6ft 8" so it was a bit of a squeeze :lol: anyway we got moving and after turning right at some lights onto a faster road I gave it some beans and not all of them I might add, his reaction was "fook me, what's in this?" Big grin time :grin:

Just checked, the lug on the end has snapped off so might not stay in place very well.
