  1. For a start that looks like Mystic Blue so could it be a Storm without badging or has it been resprayed that colour?
  2. For those who haven't noticed, the weld is highly polished too  :D
  3. Looks factory fresh :D but if I were to pick fault - your rear lenses don't line up so only 9.5 out of 10  Oh by the way is your inlet manifold painted or is it bare?
  4. Removing the pin is the difficult part of the whole process, the install guide is exactly that, a guide, and as with most things a certain amount of your own initiative has to be employed. I'm always around on the forum if anyone needs further guidance but please read this thread (I know it's lengthy) as some forum members have shared their own experiences and solutions and its all very welcome so please keep them coming. I've said it before and I'll repeat as some may not be aware but I do offer to repair handles sent to me and I get them sent back the following day. Not all can do this as it leaves the car insecure if no access to a secure lockup is available. Being a daily driver also has it's problems. Feedback always appreciated.
  5. When I removed my alarm I had to start using the key, the key wouldn't go in the tailgate at all. After stripping down the barrel I found the tumblers to be very jammed with years of dirt, wd40 wouldn't budge it. A good clean and lube and all was well again.
  6. Thanks chaps Kev, I looked at the DG kit but couldn't justify it at the time.
  7. I had this problem when the weather turned wet, the relays were just 'hanging' around in front of the battery and when the wet got in the headlights were doing all sorts of things they weren't supposed to. I made up a Stainless enclosure with an open bottom, the relays are mounted to a plate then inserted inside the enclosure - see pic. Not had any problems since.
  8. Your 16v hoses should fit the calipers as they're the same fitting. You would have a problem if you were fitting 288 calipers but they're standard VR 280's.
  9. Brilliant Black Metallic
  10. Saw this K plate VR outside Halfords, Castle Boulevard, Notts at about 3.15pm on Friday.
  11. Unstoppable - 8/10 Plenty of action with some of the usual Yank farfetched stuff in there.
  12. The pivot pin can be a pig to remove and also a little fiddley as your working with small parts, better with a second pair of hands. The striker arm snaps resulting in NOT being able to open the door from the outside but will still open from the inside. If you've got these symptoms then my kit will fix it.
  13. I couldn't find a source for the roll pins but I've got some split pins at the correct diameter, let me know when you need 1 and I'll post FOC.
  14. Thanks for taking the time Chris, I'll print off and try to get my head around it. Dave
  15. You're not on your own guys, I still have the same problem after changing - Spoiler module for a known good one instrument cluster for a known good one spoiler switch for a known good one Fuses ok stereo blue/white wire not connected I'm putting it down to bad wiring somewhere, couldn't find the terminal splitter though above/behind the fuse relay plate. Chris do you have a pic of what the splitter looks like? Thanks Dave
  16. I used copper pipe when I fitted 288's and braided hoses. It's what my mechanic mate has always used, if they lasts 5 years (I expect longer) doesn't matter they were easy enough to fit. If I went for OE lines then I wouldn't of had the car ready for work the next day.
  17. I've just started experiencing a similar thing but it's intermittant. It started acting up some weeks back and has now completely stopped working, it's had a new sender about 3 months ago before it started playing up and all was well. I've put the old sender back in without success and now I'm back using the new sender. Weirdly it does sometimes work but doesn't give an accurate reading and that's using both old and new senders. Oh and I've cleaned the connector to the sender. I haven't disconnected the battery as previously suggested so I might give that a go. Looks like it maybe dodgy wiring or a duff MFA? Any thoughts?
  18. I don't but I have a very good mechanic mate who has all the kit :D The clips holding the driver side line to the bulkhead broke up when we removed them but that's about the only problem we had. Secured it with cable ties in the end.
  19. You're obsessed man  Good work.
