Today I examined my front bumper after my elderly neighbour plowed her Fiat Punto into it. Nice.

Funny that, I can't wait for you to have a good go against him at a track day next year either. Battle of the Titans and all that.
-
I think it was for a car he was buying. Still sounds like the wrong eBayer to be dealing with.

The rear camber looks a lot more obvious in that picture! That's kind of the reason why I like it so much. The car's been a part of the forum for so long most members have seen it evolve and, I guess, will continue to do so. The point is you've taken on quite a challenge and may have inspired others to do the same by proving that it is possible to achieve great things in the garage. Like you've been heard to say in the past, it's not like you gave the car to a tuning company with a blank cheque. Anyone can do that, well anyone with deep enough pockets. Major respect, as always, to Coxy, biggerbigben and G60Renshaw too of course.

Your car has to rate as my favourite Corrado, no Volkswagen, ever built. The best part is it's only ever going to get better too. It's an inspiration. Freakin' sweet.

The 1.8 16v as found in the Mk2 Golf GTi is 139bhp. The Corrado version has a smaller diameter inlet manifold and is tuned for extra torque at lower revs. As a result the peak horsepower of the Corrado 1.8 16v is quoted at 136bhp - the same as the 2.0 16v.

£2000 isn't really a large enough budget for a 2.0 16v in my opinion. They do come along from time to time but in general that sort of money is onky going to attract the earliest and highest mileage 2.0 models. It will, however, buy you a peach of a 1.8. In the same situation my choice would be (and was) the 1.8.

The voltage drops where? At the supply to the ECU? Slightly off topic, but which gearbox/driveshafts/etc. are you using for the running gear out of interest?
-
That's some tasty ICE gear you've got there; I'm jealous! That sub/amp combo should be fine together. Don't drive the sub into distortion and you'll be ok.
-
I'm pretty sure you could turbocharge a 16v for that sort of money's worth of parts if you know what you're doing.
-
Well the race car is a 20VT for a start. That thing looks awesome.
-
You could buy a VR6 engine and gearbox for that.
-
How much does an R32 engine and associated giblets cost?
-
Everyone knows that the R1 and Corrado compliment each other perfectly. Well, that's the way I see it anyway! The R1 is everything the Corrado isn't, and vice versa.....i.e. the R1 is fast and the Corrado keeps me dry.

I used to date a girl from Durban. I miss her :( What were we talking about? Intercoolers? Oh yeah, of the two you list the Golf G60 is the thinking man's choice....at a price.
-
Is that just an aerosol gloss black you painted the wheels with?
-
Ah man F1 is dull now. Anyone catch the MotoGP today? Now THAT'S racing. More overtaking on one lap that the entire F1 race.
-
What exactly does that mean?
-
Yours was a 2.0 though, right? Don't they have electronic engine management with a knock sensor?
-
It didn't look all that fast (to me) until I watched my own 16v Corrado speedo crawling round on the trip out just now. How wrong I was!
-
My condolences
