looks like one of the worst cases of serious willie waving i've ever seen- reminds me of the '70's when it was "cool" to run loud massive sidepipe exhausts. 1 of those upswept pipes looks bad/sad enough but 4 is truly tragic
-
valver-as it started when you moved the wires possibly a bad connection is causing the problem. suggest you check they are all good, if not maybe time for a good auto electrician to check it out as a non-starter is a bit of a biatch. ps- i would not expect the new switch to be faulty but i found it was worth buying genuine vw parts even if slightly more expensive, the local vw parts guys would get to know you! & help you out with parts/advice etc. good luck fella :thumbleft:

doh- try checking the level on the dipstick :study:

congratulations, certainly looks good in the photos & good spec. will it really rev to 9000 rpm ? if it would i assume rev limiter would cut in at approaching 150 mph  -

struan-just spoken to a guy called andy whose got 2 g60's, says he's got a good rear bumper available. he's got an advert for the car he's breaking on ebay item no. 170019570361, told him about the forum & he said he would join. he's in nottinghamshire. hope this helps. -

Struan-sorry to hear what's happened. surely best way forward is to get hold of a good 2nd hand rear bumper-somebody on here must have one. good luck mate, as for the bloke who damaged your car i would leave well alone, sounds like he will probably self destruct one way or another soon anyway  -
maybe the engine's had it's chips :chef: , sorry mate couldn't resist that one.

May be coming back to the fold already......

i think once you've enjoyed owning a corrado you keep them in your blood, anytime you see another you admire it & the determination & time of the owner to keep it in the cared for condition that 99.9% of them are in. :notworthy: -
guess the white will go nicely with the winter snow  , bet you'll be keeping it away from that stuff tho'. good luck with it.
-
tragic, one less rado, just hope the occupants got out ok
-
walesy- unfortunately the "newest" rado will now be 10 years old & unless you can find a low mileage "minter" will have seen a bit of life. lets face it rados are'nt normally used for posing in either so will have usually exceeded 70 mph on one or two occassions :lcop: specced-up low mileage, one or two owner cars are now getting very rare unless you can get to corrado heaven in a parallel universe where vw/karmann are still making them as we speak, blimey is it time for my medicine again so soon?
-
edd- i can recommend vws in marsh barton for mechanical work & kynastons for body work also in marsh barton. get their nos. from the phone book. get down :afro: there & talk to these guys they are enthusiasts & know what they are doing. if your'e lucky they may have a corrado or 2 on the premises too.

That big fat grin on my MOT tester's face again ...

congratulations, "they don't make them like that anymore" :salute: -
don't like 'em either, reckon half-smoked would be the way to go.
-
i tried drinking it but did'nt really notice much difference  , seriously though it's great that it worked for your vr, now add some optimax & that baby should really fly :x-mas:
-
try looking on ebay.de (germany) i've seen a few cream leather sets on there & considerably cheaper than £1K+, may be even worth going over & collecting yourself.
-
who've they got working for them orcs off lord of the rings or klingons? :dorky: surely nobody would half a brain would treat other peoples prize possessions like this, makes me mad just thinking about it. if ups don't play ball i think i'd threaten them with a professional body if there is one for couriers, or maybe the national press would be interested in their "standard of service", or maybe the small claims court (or scottish equivalent).
-
i would also look at autocar mag. as they are sometimes advertised there, price probably won't be cheap tho'. i would also check autotrader website daily & be prepared to travel quickly with cash to look at good prospects. no harm in lookin at a few in the meantime just to get an idea of what to look out for. also watercooled vw shows would be a good place to look.

can't understand how the wheels got damaged, they must have got damaged before they were boxed up i would have thought. i've got 5 bbs wheels same as yours(without dents) + tyres, 4 wheels in excellent nick, 1 good spare, if you can get £380 out of ups for them you can have them, + courier :censored: : costs, unless you want to drive down from scotland to collect. i can email photos if you are interested. i'd be looking out the small print from the courier so you can sort it with them, good luck bud :thumbleft:

ipf-agreed the jensen v8 sounded unique- those in the know knew it had some serious bhp, :notworthy:
-
ipf- my old 3 litre (3.1) capri mk1 fuel gauge used to do that as i tonned up going over the river teign bridge towards torquay, the v6 used to look & sound great with a janspeed exhaust, now i do sound my age! 'spose i used to get about 20 to the gallon- but hey fuel (5 star) was cheap then, good times. :afro:
-
beautiful interceptor chris & a lovely colour. i've always thought they were a great lookin' car, shame that they've got a bit of a drink problem what with that 6.3 or 7.2 V8 ! :drinking:
-
hmmmm, now let me think why they might drive off- 1) they've probably guessed that you want to rearrange them because of their driving 2) they're pissed as rats/under the influence of illegal substances 3) probably no tax/insurance & don't want to get busted 4) could be twoccers/complete toss*rs as well 5) don't want to get busted for causing an accident ie careless driving, due care etc :study: good luck with the claim/repairs

these dealers should not be able to trade like this as they are obviously either completely crap/incompetent/rip-off merchants. anybody in the exeter area i can recommend vws tel 01392 493737, when i was there recently there were plenty of hot dubs there including a rado where the charger had "let go" at 120 mph
-
shaggsy- call that screwin' wait till they tell u the car they've extorted heavy premiums out of you for years is actuallly worth less than a packet of woodbines when you make a claim. then try not to burst a blood vessel or anything else when they write to you to this effect & the haggling begins & all the time you're left without a car-& yes sir are "customer service" is excellent-all our adverts say this
