it seems to be popular too with the chopper (no jokes please) fraternity, personally i hate it- makes me think about those who were injured/died in ww1. to see it on t-shirts & the like seems repulsive.

lighten up guys it's only a mag, there were a couple of beautiful lowered valvers in last months, who gives a sh*t what the ed. says, there's always some quality dubs in there. if people dont buy it there could be one less vw mag on the shelves. remember beauty is in the eye of the beerholder :cyclops2:

totally agree with carpy, in the end i'd just go for a car that looks & feels genuine. the extra 200cc imho makes hardly diddly squat difference i also am starting to think that the earlier 1.8's are better as you don't have cats & any other such crap* & to my mind are somehow closer to the original idea 8)

i think i'd insist on a replacement with a brand new eos (no ars*e jokes plse). the one with the 3.2 motor would be adequate for my humble requirements

sandy-fantastic looking rado & it's really gleaming in your photos, what polish did you use?

UK registered Corrado, rolled at the Nurburgring

I'd stick to the PS2 games or whatever -would never forgive myself if I twatted a beautiful rado or myself/someone else trying to prove something on a track. -
Funniest bit was the blonde in the soft top who offered to get her *its out, think there was a pretty loud shout of "nooooo" nationwide at that suggestion. :luvlove: What a classy lady.

tragic that some pr*cks would pay somebody else that much to clean their toys- lets face it hardly any of them will actually get driven anywhere near their potential & most are just ego trips. (JayKay & the like being the exception). I also found the valeter bloke scary with his obssesive cleaning but hey if that floats your boat fair enough. A hurried going over with Autoglym has do to do for my trusty Golf. Would love to see the owners faces when they realised the car was dirty again after say 3 weeks & would "need" another £5K clean.

I seriously considered going out "tooled up" when I heard about a guy getting dragged out of his car at about 3 in the morning by a group of about 7 or 8 blokes who were walking along the middle of the road. They then proceeded to kick the proverbial well & truly out of him for no good reason other than he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. To really top it off it was about 30 yards away from a large Police Station & you've guessed it- no sign of any Police. I suppose that in reality a bat or a chain would have been pretty useless in that scenario-unless of course you were 1 of the yobs. :pale:

groaning noise when pulling away from nearside front
crdo16v replied to STORM 2's topic in Drivetrain
try removing any female passengers first- this usually stops any groaning :D, only jokin' ladies. -
Scary stories gentlemen, a friend had a lovely black Mini Cooper 1340, he expressed his disatisfaction with a 2 finger salute :fist: to another roaduser who had annoyed him & drove off. The trouble was the lights changed up the road & the guy caught up with him :shocked!: Apparently the other guy was a complete meathead & built like a gorilla  , he leapt out of his van & tried to rip the driver's side door off the Mini, my mate nearly sha* himself :pale: but luckilly the lights changed & he was able to get away still breathing. I nearly always think about that situation before "signalling" other drivers, & remember a lovely Corrado nearly always has an effect on some others either appreciation or envy, so be careful.

he lets you in the garage lets you fiddle - does he charge extra for that ? :nono:

Robbers (Insurance Co.- not direct line) offered me £800 to start with, held out & eventually got £2,500, they certainly like to take the proverbial & are more than happy to take your money in exchange for a piece of paper. When the s*it starts flying when you have to make a claim they start messing you about & try to wear you down. It would be refreshing to find one that actually played it straight- I assume some of the agreed value policies may be worthwhile. They don't actually say how c*p they are when they are touting for your business.

I can only assume it's related to the charger/induction system, is there an air filter actually in the filter housing? Unexplained noises like that would drive me mad/madder  Maybe some of the guys with G60's can give you some more relevant ideas. Good luck.

wot & when you adjusted them they burnt your botty? :onfire:

I could make a rather vulgar joke about coming across the seats but I shall resist :nono: Nope never heard of heated cloth seats-certainly a bit of a weird one, maybe the car was going to be shipped to even colder climes than we enjoy 8)

why not get together with the other victims & offer a reward for info as to the "brains" behind the damage or report it to local paper, if you get any names that seem likely-go round to their cars/homes discretely & give them a taste of their own medicine- maybe a nasty scratch all down their motah or similar :2gunfire:

VW accessories-now that really needs a kick up the arse, dealers I've been to seem disinterested & my impression is that VW UK don't seem very "bovvered" about it either- which is a great shame 'cos as we know a lot of VW owners seriously love their cars & want to spend money enhancing them. 8) Hope you get the job. :thumbleft:

Thanks guys, it just shows that despite appearances it's not always as bad as you think, chasis is still within tolerances despite a hard side hit & everybody walked away relatively unharmed. I will tell the new guy about the forum when I see him again.

sorry mods wrong heading

Good news for a change-met the guy who plans to put my old rado from the breakers (after insurance "write-off") back where it belongs-gracing the road. He has got the necessary parts & is already getting to work. Got it runnin' last night & it was a very good feeling to think he has the skill & knowledge to see it through. He will of course put it thro' the necessary tests to get it on the road. He is planning on a complete respray in original Tornado red & I could see his genuine enthusiam for a great car.

the guy I bought my valver off was in tears when he sold it to me & I was when it got written off 5 years later- just a good job I was driving it when the *wat drove into it . If the missus was driving I may have got done for double murder. :rambo:
