Atn: G60 Corrado owners (don't know about the others)
crdo16v replied to Tempest's topic in Engine Bay
I love the smell of Optimax in the morning :cuckoo: -
I recently spoke to a motor cop :fist: about German style plates having first admired them on a certain lovely local G60, he told me in no uncertain terms that they are a no, no. I certainly don't want to give them any excuse for pulling me over so would only consider having them for show use. I guess that they may let you off with a warning first but was not told this.

Which one is faster 1.8 16v Corrado or 2.0 16v Corrado ?
crdo16v replied to VWci's topic in General Car Chat
I've only driven one 2 litre valver but prefer the 1.8, somehow it felt like it was more of a driver's car in my humble opinion. Virtually all of the contemporary magazine road tests of the 2 came down in favour of the good ol' 1.8 too, so I'm not just talking thro' my a**. :study: -
Probably been done, but whats the worst bit of a C to clean?
crdo16v replied to Yandards's topic in General Car Chat
Agreed the BBS's are a bitch but they're worth it :nurse: -
Simple answer is not to use the fogs, nearly every time I turn mine on if only for a minute or so the glass lens seems to crack shortly after. Seems to be one of the Corrado's Achiles heels :thumb right: Just keep my fingers crossed we don't get much fog.

Would'nt have thought it would drain the battery unless it wait's till you can't see the car then it goes up & down continuously, does it just do it at night? scarey :evilbat:

Why not buy a complete leather interior on ebay.de, there seem to be some good buys in Germany, the only problem being that they tend to sell within Germany only & shipping elsewhere could be expensive. Another suggestion would be to buy a complete car with leather trim from Germany then get it home, strip it out & sell the other parts. Alternatively contact some of the guys on the German Corrado Clubs, they seem friendly enough. Good luck. :thumbleft:

Reckon the extra weight from them pasties must have put too much strain on the box :cuckoo: Serious lookin rado dude :notworthy:
-
I hear they do some nice lederhosen! :norty: But seriously there must be some good trimmers in Norway?
-
WTF? I wondered why I never saw any "busies" down 'yer when some poor so*s getting the cr*p kicked out of them, they must be too busy going to every single RTA instead.
-
My idea would be to take it back/get it trailered to the "geezers" who seem to be anything but that. Get them to repair it properly this time, or maybe say you will let your VW owning friends/other potential customers know what a shoddy job they seem to have done. Good luck.

Mondy-if there are no independent witnesses to confirm she was at fault I think the insurance (robbers) co. will just say it's a 50:50 situation & you will waste your time trying to pursue it & end up feeling even more pis*ed off. If, they turn up with a tenner I think that in itself unfortunately would be a result in the circs. Just have to put it down to experience me old mucker.

Peanut butter pah, how long before somebody tries running their motor on chip oil? :nurse:

Damn right, if I got paid for the amount of "crap" I have to d/w I'd be a millionaire by now  ( Happy Halloween)

Ronan-lets hope the t*at in the Scooby sha* himself too big time! A lucky escape bro', you will probably laugh about it in a few weeks time. Still a bit of a sobering thought for us all especially with all the crap weather & icy roads still to come. Safe motoring. :thumb right:

Just watch some of the old folk in the supermarket carparks, just wang the door open as far as they can regardless & walk away from whatever damage they have caused.

Did'nt they have a"system" like this in Moscow when it was Communist- all the top geezers (ie party officials) had road lanes only they could use, ie some were more equal than others comrade. If only only some of our politicians could actually do something useful instead of being completely useless self opinionated totally self-serving pr*cks. :salute:

Love the 4th pic especially, but surely all 4 can't have the spoilers not workin'

Tim- Lee at Trim'll Fix it in Marsh Barton, Exeter (EX2 8PY) has done some very good work on my rado. If you are up this way suggest you phone him first & call in. Website is http://www.sercombestreetcars.co.uk Tel 01392 498888. Alrternatively there are usually a few trimmers showing their skills at The Kit Car show in Exeter in November. Personally I would trust the work to Lee. Send me a pm if you need more info.

Greetings Woody, check the by-pass valve in the heater hose has'nt been fitted the wrong way up cos' it may cause the problem & is a fairly easy thing to check. Good luck mate. (Red valver now rollin' on mighty fine BBS rims with flat boot carpet :thumb right: ) ps- last time I saw your G60 it looked & sounded fantastic.

Try under "images" heading on Google, just put in Corrado, or VW Corrado & then under images, maybe put in Corrado + pearl green. :viking:

Try giving it some nice warm rice, that should do the trick :dorky:
