  1. another pink show car - how original :camp:
  2. Yesterday mid-afternoon green L-reg heading out of Maidstone on Upper Stone St/Loose Rd I was waiting in the right hand side road Brunswich St, we exchanged
  3. you'll be needing item 3 in the pic then.
  4. Green L-reg nipping up Wheeler street in Maidstone around 0845hrs this morning, dunno what flavour, I was walking with my hangover so didn't clock the engine sound!!
  5. Bit late but saw a tidy shiny tornado(?) Red crossing the A26 just north of Tonbridge on Friday 9th - I flashed and waved but they had a bit of a bitch of a staggered junction to get across
  6. You could use the inside of a duvet but the real stuff is fire retardent and all that good stuff!!
  7. AVS is the cheapest place i've found, on my to-do list but never gets to the top!! Obviosly you'll need 16 of them :(
  8. That was a good price, 12 years ago they wanted £205 OS and £215 NS each! I got mine for around £115 ea from GPC IIRC What is this chaps turn round time??
  9. Righto so I need to bin my solid double pulley, obtain another outer waterpump pulley  and space that out (what measurement here , it would be nice to use solid spacers if poss??), and get an 888 x 10mm veebelt between alternator and crank as in my second pic. Sweet 8) 8) 8)
  10. I reckon t'other way rounds the way to go. Wouldn't fancy a tube full of cack to clean out of the sunroof surround, plus shoving sh*t uphill has always revolted me... If it's gone in the top it'll come back out the top - if you shove it further down it may jam causing untold woe! New sunroof seals available from the Stealers at around £47 - they're a tight push-on fit , and I Mean F@*%ing TIGHT!! You'll also have to trim them to length. 8) They aren't a water seal.
  11. I'll be paying a man, foock pi55ing around on a sloping drive without all the right tools!!
  12. Bentley manual suggests using speedo cables inserted in the outlet of the drain hose and pushing up towards the sun roof gutter!!!
  13. Having actually gone back and looked at the site properly  it does seem like good stuff
  14. Mine's been going for a fair while now - feels like someone club-hammering the chassis slowly! Got a new inner CV joint kit just got to get it fitted now.
  15. http://www.ecofuelforbusiness.co.uk/ind ... w-it-works More b0ll0x methinks?
  16. Seems like it might cause a bit of noise as the belts wear at different speeds, my steering belt chirps a bit which it didn't at first but it's so much quieter isn't it?! If I can get some other bits sorted I'll look at the single pulley /short PAS belt option
  17. My knocking is so bad now I'd bet my cock it's the driverside inner CV gone, it does it under load/uphill and is especially pronounced with a loaded car turning right! Just gonna get the one done methinks.
  18. I've got similar, found the Vib damper loose so cut it off, wasn't that but found a sheild over inner drivers cv joint was rubbing/catching wired it up out the way and seemed to cure it............. til it came back weeks later. Sometimes went away for 2-3 months at a time but thinking it's cv joints now, cannot afford VAG ones so i'll have to go pattern for now at least. From the noises I'm thinking 3 out of 4  Might just do all 4 and be done with it still £140 just for pattern parts :(
  19. Not as yet - my potentially '3 out of 4' CV joints issues are more pressing!
  20. You could use passat rear door handles for the delocked look or audi 80 or audi a3 handles - the audi option needs audi locking mechs to be sourced as they operate in the opposite direction!. Do a search there's loads on here. The number plate plinth has three of these.... IMG_6184 (Large).JPG[/attachment:3doi262b] ....attached to 3 plastic spigots in recessed holes under the rear hatch cover (should unscrew), the bottom edge is held in by some very strong double sided tape.
  21. Damn site better than THESE!
  22. You may find that simply disconnecting and then reconnecting all you RCA plugs will sort the whine. Mine was suffering and whilst hunting the cause down we systematically did just that and it simply disappeared!! Result! It must have been a dirty connection 8)
