Sounds great. Brands Hatch is nice and convenient for me.

Blue Storm parked up on the A28 in Bethersdn, Kent. Lunchtime Saturday.

As a comparison I paid £3,800 for mine 5 years ago. It has black leather and at the time it was on 68,000 miles with a good service history. I thought I had overpaid but I was desperate to get my hands on a Corrado after seeing some 'shockers' Neadless to say since then I have probably spent a further £10,000!

How bad are your wheel arches? If there is only minor rust it should be possible to cut out the rust and weld in new metal. As far as I'm aware new wings for late type Corrados are no long avaiable. Unfortunately second hand ones off a scapped car are likely to be in poor condition.

Just looked at the listing on ebay. There is the original price list showing £22k for the car, that's about £43k in today's money!!
-
Fantastic looking car and a great spec. Good luck with the sale.
-
That’s got to be a great buy for someone at that price.

Hello, welcome and enjoy your new car. A great choice. Unless you are planning to do a high mileage, it probably best to use your funds to get the bodywork repaired rather than look for problems with the engine.

I’m in Kent. Very interested, but obviously date dependent.

Interesting to see the margin the dealer is working to. If eBay is correct they paid £12,300. They are looking to sell at just under £17k which gives £4,700 profit less a few hundred for new parts. Not to bad if they make the asking price, but any reduction in this or warranty work will quickly eat into their margin.

Just over 74,000.looking forward to some better weather so I can get a few more miles on her.

Blue g60? In Terderden at lunchtime today. Good to see a Corrado in use!
-
Very lazy advert. No interior photos and a lack of detail.I'll be interested to see where this ends up, There have been a couple of low mileage examples advertised over £12k recently.

Looks like a nice Corrado. Just over £5k paid including the buyers premium. https://www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/Volkswagen-Corrado

Yes. Autocar was predicting the Corrado VR6 would be a classic even before it was released in the UK! However, they thought the BMW would hold its value, with hindsight this was probably wrong.

There is a link to at least some of the article here. https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=23&t=921892&i=20 It makes good reading, back in the day the VR6 Corrado was faster than the M5, Aston Martin Virage and of course the BMW 325 on the 30 to 70 mph sprint

How old is the battery?

He is offering free postage.

Whgy did they never find an alloy wheel design that suited the VW Corrado
MarkR replied to MarkR's topic in General Car Chat
I agree, although 16" would fill the arch out a bit more. -
I don't think I've seen an external modification that improves on the original.
-
I doubt it. Common Corrado fault along with a broken sunroof.

I know they are not local to Portsmouth, but Lepsons probably offer the highest quality wheel refurbishment service in the south. I have used them on a couple of my cars and would say that the standard of their work exceeds that of the wheels suppled as original equipment. http://www.lepsons.com/

Probably as useful as a chocolate teapot, but it's one of those parts required by those wishing to get everything back to standard.
