  1. That's good news £11k + the buyers premium for a not very well presented Storm.
  2. If you are looking for the best original Corrado this has got to be the one to have. There are plenty of other great Corrados available for considerably less, but they may have been restored rather than in original condition, they don't have the history of Chris Gaskill's car.
  3. Saturday about miday. Possibly a VR6 on the A25 heading towards Oxted
  4. The dealer is not exactly coining it in even if it sells near the asking price. Grimsby also seems a strange place for a classic car dealer, it is not exactly close to any affluent population centres!
  5. Sunday. A 'violet' VR6 parked up in South Shields near the finish of the Great North Run.

    Auction

The paintwork on the nearside looks very poor or it could be poor photography. The lazyness of some vendors never ceases to amaze me. It would only take 20 mins to make that engine bay look like new for the photograph.
  7. If you are fitting an aftermarket radio you will need an inline booster. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Antenna-inline-Signal-Amplifier-Booster/dp/B009AQEMHM
  8. Looks like a nice straight example. Congratulations!
  9. Impressive stuff. I haven't got the patience or skills to carry out this level of work. The poor red Corrado is lucky it found you!
  10. Congratulations and welcome!
  11. Why not try advertising on car and classic. it is a free service for private advertisers. http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/

    Temp Insurance

You could take out insurance and ten cancel it. Most policies will have a cooling off period.
  13. Hi, Welcome to the forum. There are a few nice VR's on the market at the moment. Good luck with your search.
  14. Very tempted to buy it myself as an investment! Although it lacks the originality of some of the recent sales, this car has got to be worth £7k all day long.
  15. I agree. Unless you are looking to spend a lot of money, it us probably be best to wait until there are signs of some problems. If the car us a keeper and you have the money imo it would be better spent ensuring that the underside is rust free. I recently had a shock with my 'mint' VR6, there was a very small rust bubble on the rear of the back wheel arch. Further investigation revealed a large area of rot behind the rear bumper. The original damage was probably caused by either a stone chip or a poor area of sealing at the factory.
  16. They need to update their prices, as we now know that it's over £10k for a good Corrado. Suddenly the Audi looks cheap!
  17. Looks like it has been buried for at least 10 years!
  18. A rusty Storm was sold a few weeks ago for £3,300 to a dealer and today another high price is achieved. Values are definitely on the up! Good luck with the sale. He is legally obliged to buy without any further haggling.
  19. This morning in Newick, West Sussex registration C9VRG. I was the idiot in the gray BMW waiving at you.
  20. Well done and thanks, You achieved a great price, this further evidence that prices are on the up. I hope you don't miss her too much!
  21. Another Storm for sale. The reg number looks familiar, I wonder if it was someone on here? http://r.ebay.com/QoUMEf
