  2. I thought about this one for the short time I used my Corrado for work. http://www.dashmount.co.uk/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=ilvm_fly_showroom_mall.tpl&product_id=1985&category_id=218&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=55
  3. Thanks, Mate, A bit sad really, I was standing there with a 'Rapid Detailer' spray, removing dust and finger marks!

    1st corrado

I saw this advertised. It looks a nice clean car and in a rare colour. I wonder if you could heat the stickers up with a hair dryer and peel them off?
  5. I had a great day at the Whitstable Classic Car Show on Sunday. The show was mostly full of older classics. I was in the VW section along side the camper vans. Apart from the vans the only other VW was a 1991 Golf 16v that required restoration. My VR6 attracted a good amont of interest and it was only called a Scirroco twice! Hopefully I have done my bit to raise the Corrado's profile in the classic car world. I took hundreds of photos on the day but here are a few of my car.
  6. I see that this has now sold off an asking price of £19,995. https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/volkswagen/corrado/volkswagon-corrado-vr6-storm--multi-concours-winner/5594602
  7. Your non runner looks very sound.
  8. How about this one on Piston Heads. Looks to very well sorted and in great condition. https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/volkswagen/corrado/volkswagen-corrado-vr6-------------------1995/7263745 It's not mine and I don't know the owner!

    Mirror Etching

Did UK Corrados have that wording. I recently replaced my original mirrors and they were free of any text. It was a 95 model.
  10. I have one of these for indoor use. It's a good fit.
  11. I'll PM you. No hurry, it's just one of nagging little jobs I would like to get completed.
  12. Bump do a anyone know if a door lock from a Golf MK2 or MK3 would fit? Thanks
  13. I bet that's gone wrong!
  14. The previous owner of my car changed the driver's door lock and did not provide me with the key. I'm going to have a go at changing the tumblers on the lock so it works off the same key as the rest of the car. I just wondered if anyone has any sets of lock tumblers and springs available? I guess 3 of each of the 4 types should do the trick.
  15. Welcome to Corrado ownership. Good to see another owner in Kent.
  16. Me too. Fortunately it was on a company car, so I told them it had been hit by a stone! I think it was up for £15k. I haven't seen it advertised for a while. perhaps it's now sold or the dealer is arranging a quick respray
  17. This must be one if the best articles I have ever read on the Corrado. It certainly name a change to see some original and accurate writing.

    Late fog lights

You could try this guy. He is a forum member. http://karmannski.com/?product=pair-of-lenses-for-late-type-fog-lights These are unfortunately reproduction lens manufactured from polycarbonate and would melt if actually used.
  19. The second owner was on here. I wonder how much the dealer gave him?
  20. ...and an extremely rare plug removal tool still on the bonnet support strut.
  21. Good things: a neat tidy timeless design. Performance and smoothness from a V6. Most modern hot hatches are 4 cylinder turbo. Look out for a solid body and good trim that has not been hacked about. Most mechanical bits can be easily sorted.
  22. Have you seen the car? I just wondered how you obtained the close-up pictures.
  23. The interior looks mint, but I agree it has not been kept in a Carcoon for 20 years. The faded plastics suggest it was outside for years. Perhaps the garage collapsed on top of it!
