  1. I've just collected the fuel pipe retaining clip from the Dealer, I can confirm that it is the correct item and they are still available. Part number 1H0 201 449 £3.42 per each The one VW Heritage do is mainly for the MK2 Golf and is part number 191 201 449 Si
  2. Ross it might grow on you that colour, I was in the same boat when I finally found a really good Corrado, I thought mine was black when I first saw it, but mines actually dark burgundy pearl a shade of red. It looks black in low light, but in direct sunlight you can see the hints of burgundy/red, sometimes even purple. Si
  3. Yeah it's a really nice colour. Harrier is your Corrado black, it looks like it in your avatar photo. Si
  4. Hello there, paint code L041 = black This was used on VW's from 1980 up until roughly 2005 ******************** Paint code LA9V = brilliant black This was used on VW's from 1991 until 1995 Looks like it's possibly a two tone black, which is why it can look grey in certain light, but it is a black. Awesome colour this I remember seeing my mates MK2 Golf GTI in brilliant black back in the late 90s, just a few years before I got my own Corrado. I've only ever seen one Corrado in the flesh in this colour, that was in early 2001 when I started looking at Corrado's, it was a garage specialising funny enough in Corrado's, think the garage was called 4 Marks or something, in a small village called Four Marks, Alton. ******************** Paint code LC9Z = black magic also known as diamond black. This was used on VW's from 1995 until roughly 2010 Also looks like the above colours were possibly used on Audi's. Hope this helps Si
  5. It's really weird as it almost looked like the Tapatalk version when the site went  Must be the Corrado curse   Si
  6. My pockets Rob are always normally empty, the joys of owning a Corrado for the last 17 years  :shocked!: No way those Corrado shoes are £££ Just had a look on Fleebay :shocked!: Si
  7. But on a serious note not sure about the history of the Corrado bike, can't really find anything on Google. There's a guy called Corrado Herin he sadly died in a plane crash in late March this year, looks like he was a mountain bike racing champion, not sure if they named the bike after him, he was racing in the early 1990s right up until 2016 I think. Here's the link below: https://www.wideopenmountainbike.com/2019/04/italian-mountain-bike-legend-corrado-herin-passes-away Si
  8. I might get some to go with my Corrado pants and socks :lol:
  9. I bet when you hit 55 miles per hour going down hill on that bike, a little spoiler flicks up  Si
  10. Yes I had a similar issue on Monday, but noticed when I scrolled down to the bottom of the home page, it said FULL SITE so I clicked on it and mine went back to normal. Si
  11. I've managed to find the above repair panel on EBay again, the seller is in Germany and has got good feedback. Their EBay item number is 273685612358 The part number is the same: 191 803 483 Cost is approx £33.00 and postage about £8.50 States they've only got 5 left in stock. Until I hear back from VW Heritage regarding a completion date about this item, this EBay alternative could help anyone who needs this ASAP. Hope this Helps Si
  12. I've chased the above item in question, just got off the phone now with the guys at VW Heritage, basically this part is still on back order. I've asked them to call me once they have a completion date. Si
  13. I did see only the one that was a PX at one of the Ford dealers, looked ok and very similar to the Seat and VW Polo, but had red interior which isn't my cup of tea, so sadly no I didn't really look into great detail at the Skodas to be honest. Si
  14. GTI Golf's are really nice and the Golf R are just insanely fast :shocked!: But at the moment I'm poring money into my Corrado which is why I went for something cheapish, I must admit it was tempting to go for a GTI Golf or Polo, maybe next time  That's what I thought about the 1 series BMW 116, a little cramped inside plus the ride is a bit firm partly due to those run flat tyres. I was looking at the 1.6 petrol turbo with roughly 135bBHP, goes quite well. And the 3 series BMW is a lovely car, but just a bit on the big side for what I need. Apparently the 1 series are going to be front wheel drive, I wonder if the 3 series will go the same way ? The Honda Civic seems ok but I just couldn't get on with the exterior styling, cool dash though. What scared me off the Ford Focus is the petrol Eco Boost engines, they seem to be having problems, my mate who's got his own garage business told me that the cylinder heads are prone to cracking on those engines, even if it's done 25000 miles it can go, basically he said it's a crap design, where they've moulded the exhaust manifold into the cylinder head, which creates far to much heat and can cost £££ The Vauxhall Astra I test drove the previous later model, think it was the VVT Limited Edition with 19" wheels, drove alright and has some power with the 1.4 16v Turbo engine, the dash is really congested all the switches are crammed in the center area, or is that just me. Also the road tax is £155 which is the same as my old MK3 Polo which seams expensive for a small engined recent car. Also looked at the new model of the Astra, definitely has better build quality compared to the previous model, and in my opinion looks much better now, but I don't know just didn't gel with me on the test drive, the Elite model you do get a lot of equipment in the car, but you're looking at close to £12000 which in my opinion if I was going to spend that much I'd be better off getting the Golf GTI. Anyway I decided my budget was going to be £8000 max and go for something similar size to my old MK3 Polo, hence looking at the newish Polo and the Seat last month. Si
  15. Yeah like you say you can definitely see and hear the overall differences in quality, between VW and Seat when driving them. I almost went for another VW Polo but then this Seat came along plus the price dropped down even more when I was at the Dealer, so couldn't resist saving almost £2000 compared to that of the Polo I was looking at, plus fancied something different. I've had the car for just over a month with no problems so far, so will probably keep it for 4 years, that's about the average for me time wise for keeping a car, a part from the Corrado of course. Also bought a new dash cam for it, I went for the Viofo A129 dual front & rear cameras. Si
  16. Right I've just been on the phone to my local VW Main Dealer, looks like the clip in question is still in use, I've ordered just the one to see if it's correct or not, as the parts guy couldn't confirm if it 100% looks like 1H0 201 449 or 191 201 449 so I'll check the part when I collect it on Saturday. Cost is roughly £4.35 per each = 1H0 201 449 Hopefully it'll be bang on, I'll confirm at the weekend, as I'm working all week. Si
  17. Nice one thank you Chris. Much appreciated :thumbleft: Si
  18. Hello mate, cheers for the offer I was tinkering around yesterday and most of the clips just disintegrated into small pieces, mainly the ones above the fuel tank and fuel filter areas, so ended giving up on that job and doing something else on my Corrado:censored: Anyway today I thought I'd have another go at removing the last few remaining fuel pipe retaining clips, and luckily removed 1 that is still fairly well intact, so for the moment I think I'll be ok. Thanks again for the offer, I'll give you a shout if this one I have falls to bits. I'm going to phone the Audi, Skoda and VW main dealers next week, and will report back if any have stock left. But if no joy then yes I'll get a load 3D printed, as I'm also looking into getting the small wiper linkage done for our RHD Corrado's. Thanks again Si
  19. I'm after the above item it should hold x4 8mm=(1/4") fuel pipes. VW Heritage sell some but they are for the MK2 Golf, as their clip is a different part number 191 201 449 plus the outer two clips are for fuel pipes but the two centre clips are smaller possibly for 3/16 brake pipes. On their site it states for Corrado also, but their clip is no good for my Corrado due to mine having at least 3 fuel lines, especially above my fuel tank. I've looked on the VW Classic Parts site but can only find part number 191 201 449 And the same when looking on VW Heritage. Can't see any fuel clip with part number 1H0 201 449 But have been doing some digging around online, and looks like the clip I need is also used for Audi A3, VW Beatle, VW Passat, and some Skodas by the looks of it. Looks like it was used from mid 1990s up until 2010 but possibly still in use ?? So hopefully Audi main dealer will have stock, or possibly VW, I'll phone them next week. Have any of you guys got any spare fuel retaining clips 1H0 201 449 just in case they're obsolete with the main dealers. Other then that I'll get some 3D printed. Many thanks Si
  20. I quite often see a dark blue G reg Corrado, possibly 1.8 16v parked on the lower end of Margards Lane in Verwood. Si
  21. Had a MK3 Polo S for 5 years bought it back in 2014 for £1400 it had only done 35000 miles, was quite a nice car for a cheap runaround, but it was starting to get tired, so have been looking at other options for a newer car to replace my old Polo. These are the cars I've been looking at. VW Golf GTI 2012 to 2015, VW Polo 2012 to 2016, BMW 3 series and 1 series M-Sport 2012 to 2016, Honda civic 2011 to 2015, Ford Focus 2013 to 2016, Vauxhall Astra SRI 2015 to 2017, Seat Ibiza 2014 to 2017 In the end I decided to go for, a Seat Ibiza 1.2 TSI i-tech 2015 5 door with 15000 miles with FSH got it for £7500 not a bad car really. It's got half leather, built-in sat nav, reversing parking sensors, and it's only £30 road tax for the year, plus has a proper spare wheel in the boot, which is rare to see these days. It's got roughly 110 BHP so has a bit of poke when you need it, the sports seats really support you, whereas in some cars I've looked at they're either to harsh or don't quite feel comfortable enough, or maybe that's just me  From what I can tell this is similar to the VW Polo but £1500 to £2000 cheaper. There's a bit more road noise from the Seat compared to the Polos I test drove, but apart from that they drive very similar. Si
  22. Think it just means your online when on this forum hence showing green square. Si
  23. It does sound like the classic symptom of the brake master cylinder going, where the pedal sinks but then feels better once you've pumped up the pedal a few times. Look for any signs of brake fluid leaking from the back of master cylinder, where it's bolted to the brake servo, as you can sometimes see brake fluid stains running down the servo. If your Corrado has ABS then the master cylinder has been obsolete for a few years now, but you can get them rebuilt by a company called PAST PARTS. But as DOX has said I'd check everything else first just in case. Si
  24. Hi Anna any update regarding the above repair panel. Many thanks Si
