  1. Oh yeah didn't even notice the mirror's were different, plus has it also got a Scuttle Pannel fitted from the SWG group buy from 2013 ? Si
  2. That is a beast the 24v motor, Looks like a great car and well maintained. I wonder what the BHP is on that motor 210 or 240 ? The standard VR6 engine with 190BHP is a rocket but the 24v lump is another level. Si

I just found this might shed some more light on the subject. Link below: https://forums.justcommodores.com.au/threads/how-dangerous-is-2k-spraying-in-back-yard.175148/ Si
  4. Hi Chris received them today via DHL, got home from work and saw a package in the porch. Great service as always Chris, packaged really well each item was wrapped in a protective film and bubble wrap, sent in a 4" x 1mtr long cardboard tube. Items look great and have 3 strips of double sided tape on the back, including the tapered raised lip. The Corrado script name is really clear, and they're roughly about 1.2mm to 1.5mm thickness. Sent you a PM. Thanks again Chris :salute: :thumbleft: Si
  5. Same issue with mine. Soldered on the new earth wire but the solder wouldn't stay attached for long on the fuel filler neck metal end guard, so had the idea of rapping bare copper mains wire around the top of filler neck and twisting the two ends so as to tighten it so it would make contact with the metal end guard, then soldered that in 2 or 3 places, then Soldered on the new earth wire to the mains wire, and bingo it worked, even tested it with my multimeter and it works. Might rap some duct tape around it so no mud or damp will get to it. Much cheaper option than purchasing a new fuel tank £££ that's for sure. Si
  6. This is what I bought last weekend from Halfords the all weather breathable cover, I chose the medium size as it seems to be best for the Corrado size. Cost £60 Halfords part number 452543 Si

  11. No worries wasn't sure if you'd been in contact with them. Hope your new Golf project goes ok. I'll see if I have time to pop in and see that company the next opportunity I have, as I have family not far from CHELMSFORD, CM1 4DF Plus it could be worth having a word with Jim as he was thinking of doing another 3D scan of various items I think ? http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?107938-Any-more-3D-printing-projects Also there's SPRINTER53 = MfG Chris, who's on this forum and his items that he's reproducing are of top notch quality from what I've seen, as I've bought quite a few things from him, so he could also be worth a shout, I think Chris prefers to make moulds of the items, rather then the 3D scanning process. I'm sure he's mentioned that he is considering doing a batch of the later type front indicator unit's 1992 - 1995 Si
  12. I'm getting the ball rolling on reproducing this small wiper linkage, I'll update on here time scale and prices once I've finalized all details from various companies near me, then can decide which route to take if full linkage or push in / clip in nylon bushes. It was back in 2014 when I did the group buy for this linkage when it was still available from VW Classic Parts, sadly it's still obsolete. Please let me know if you're interested and then I have an idea on quantity to show these companies. Many thanks Si
  13. Hi Kieran, any update from your discussion/meeting with that 3D printing company ? Si
  14. All totally dry from what I could see, plus pulled out the pollen filter when I was under the dash, and that was dry too no signs of water / damp / anti freeze, so I presume it's just a weak part that this car unfortunately has  Si
  15. I've done this looking at all different brands of exhaust for my Corrado, as my current Supersprint half system has seen better days, but it hasn't done too badly because it was fitted originally back in 1999 or 2000 a few years just before I purchased the Corrado. That's 20 years that Supersprint exhaust has lasted on mine so far, to be honest it has been welded once or twice over the years, but like I say it hasn't done bad really. Back in early 2013 I was very close to having a half system made up, by a company called MIJ Performance Exhausts Their Tel: 01922 645646 Once you're on their website click on the contact us icon, and it opens up an email form that you fill out if you'd rather contact them that way. I think I was in contact their with a guy called Andrew. They stock a lot of exhaust systems, and can make any exhaust to order, but Andrew told me ideally they'd need your vehicle on their ramp to copy the old system, or to talk to you in person and show you what it would look like. To be honest I'd be inclined to speak to a exhaust specialist first, to get their thoughts on the matter regarding a down pipe/manifold Si
  16. I know this isn't Corrado related but thought I'd share this. Two weeks ago my interior fan stopped working on speeds 1 to 3 but still worked on speed 4, unfortunately the 3 month warranty I got with my Seat when I purchased it had just expired. So decided to remove the glovebox and investigate for myself, found the fan motor and tested for power, confirmed only works on speed 4, so found and removed the fan speed resistor which had the green insolation cracking and peeling away, also smelt burnt. Anyway ordered a new resistor and refitted everything and the interior fan is working again on all 4 speeds. Just in case anyone needs to do the same to their MK4 Seat Ibiza or any similar VAG, the part number is 6Q0 959 263A Cost £45 from Seat Main Dealer. I know they're cheaper on eBay but I wanted a genuine part. It's pants really that it failed on a 4 year old car, but I suppose it must be a common fault as they had the part in stock. Si
  17. Tried my local VW Dealer but was told the part in question is possibly obsolete, as the parts guy couldn't see it available on his screen. Anyway found the item in question on the VW Classic Parts site: Part number 051 133 556 Retaining clamp for fuel injectors for Corrado 1.8 16v (KR) and 2.0 16v (9A) x4 are fitted. Cost per each €1.80 = in stock. Si
  18. Blimey O'Reilly didn't imagine that forum to close it's doors, I remember looking on there regularly before I became a member on here in 2013 I agree we do need regular members on this great forum to keep the traffic flowing so to speak. Regarding Tapatalk that seems to be dead in the water, it's been playing up big time since 2015, before that it worked really well and you could upload photos. Unfortunately Tapatalk is now a weak link that needs cutting out. Si
  19. Hi Chris, payment sent as requested, also sent you a PM. Many thanks Si

  21. Hi Chris, how many do you have in stock now, as I'm seriously interested in a black set please. Plus I'm sure you'll have loads of interest in both colours as they look top quality :salute: I've also sent you a PM. Many thanks Si
  22. Thank you for sorting the error much appreciated :thumbleft: Many thanks Si
  23. Possibly the cable is all one unit made into the slider/s, and yes my passenger side slider snapped first, = made of Mickey mouse metal unfortunately :help: Another vote for 3D scanning please :salute: Si
  24. I've started receiving notification emails again from this forum, still can't view my own profile, but can get into settings to edit my profile, it's still hit and miss when trying to view threads like every one else. It's good to see you on here again Andi, hopefully something can be done to get this great forum back on track, and like you say it would be a shame to lose all the great information that everyone on here has contributed to over the last 17 years or so :salute: Si
