Yeah as above they are really good bulbs got them in my head lights. I've got 60/55 watt in head lights. 100 watts in main beam spots. 100 watts in front fog lights. All this has made a real difference to my front lights big time, as they shine now a really bright blue / white, not the dim yellow / orange as standard. Or you can purchase the up rated wiring loom complete with relays, which is ment to be really good as well. Hope this helps. Si

Original rear chrome Corrado name badges are obsolete, I think. Replacement rear Corrado name badge (comes primed) Off Ebay. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-Corrado-Rear-Boot-Badge-Primered-/330981734341?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Model%3ACorrado&hash=item4d100c77c5 Chrome paint http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/400ml-CHROME-Foil-Mirror-Metallic-Effect-Spray-Paint-Auto-DIY-Aerosol-Can-C018-/300771727309?pt=UK_DIY_Material_Paint_Varnish_MJ&hash=item46076457cd Has anyone used this type of paint on plastic at all ?? I was thinking of buying one of these badges which are already primed, and may be getting some chrome paint as above and spraying the badge chrome ?? What do you guys think to this. Do you think it would look pants. Or may be taking the badge to a company who will chrome plate it for me ?? Many thanks. Si

Yeah some interesting thoughts. Scientists have found a planet very similar to our own earth, they say it's a moon or something in one of the other galaxies close to our own. Since the 1960's or 70's they've been transmitting a radio beacon and sending this signal out in to space, one day it could be sent back by ???? Well who knows. Plus in the next 5 to 6 years time or less they are going to send a state of the art probe, out in to space to this moon planet, they say it will take some years for the probe to reach this moon, and that the probe will be sending back photo's of it's finds. Prometheus here we come, lol I believe they will find other life out there, it's not if they do, but when in the near future. Si

I'm just thinking about when you guys have a near miss coursed by some idiot on the road, this way you can check if they are road legal or not. So if a driver drives off from a accident scene and you've got their reg, you can check there and then. Or if there's a Corrado that you once owned years ago, and want to see if it's still on the road, this way you can as well. Vehicle Identification free checker link http://www.freecarcheck.org/ Just enter in the reg you want to check and press enter, then on next page select vehicle make and again press enter. It should show you then all info on that vehicle, i.e model, colour, engine size, and when the road tax is due. Vehicle insurance free checker link http://ownvehicle.askmid.com/ Just enter in the reg you want to check, then put a tick in the box, then just enter in the one off code in the bottom box, and just press enter, it will show if your or any other vehicle is insured or not. Hope this helps. Si :salute:

:offtopic: I know we're all living on this planet i.e 3rd rock from the sun, isolated in space orbiting the sun in our own rotational track, in this self contained galaxery with other planets around us. But what do you feel or think regarding millions of other galaxies out there holding life ????? I know we're all human and we've been told we've come from apes, but what if we are the aliens on this planet ?? We don't have any natural defenses against any attack from a predator, like a bear, lion, tiger or shark and so on. But we've got this brain of ours and so are the most intelligent life form on this planet, why ? We can make life or take it. We can make or invent anything. We built ancient structures thousands of years ago all over earth and they line up with the stars perfectly ?? How. Are we the gods or the aliens ???? Some people believe in God, say they've read the bible and believe. If so how could this one person heal people with nothing more but their bare hands, how could this person walk on water. If this really old story that has been told for so long is true, then God was not human ??? I'm not saying to believe in God is a bad thing, each to their own. I don't believe in God my self to me the bible is just a story book, where's the evidence to prove it all  But then on the other hand you have so called ghosts, that are unrested spirits or demons that can dominate a person or their home :tumbleweed: :shocked!: and the only way to get rid of the ill tempered spirit is to employ a priest ??? What do you guys and girls think ??????????? Si

Hello there, you could try this company they are in the USA, it does state that all deliveries are to US main land. But like I say if you send them an email They might send goods out to the UK ?? Here's the link http://www.clutchcityonline.com/contact.shtml The part number you want to find out about is M1703 here is the link http://www.clutchcityonline.com/Hydro/vw_corrado.htm or have a look at this http://www.amazon.com/FTE-W0133-1610396-FTE-Clutch-Master-Cylinder/dp/B00449I26M/ref=au_as_r?ie=UTF8&Make=Volkswagen%7C74&Model=Corrado%7C977&Year=1990%7C1990&carId=002&n=15684181&newCar=1&s=automotive&vehicleType=automotive Remember that all cars in the USA are left hand drive, but the master cylinder is the same for both RH & LH drive by the looks of it. I've just found this on Ebay. Right your part n.o 358 721 401 (Ebay part n.o 357 721 401) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VOLKSWAGEN-CORRADO-53I-Clutch-Master-Cylinder-BOSCH-0-986-486-006-/271253156096?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Model%3ACorrado&hash=item3f27f2b100 Hope this helps. Just in case anyone needs a new battery tray panel, they are now back in stock with VW Heritage. Part number is ( 191803105 ) Price is £22.60 http://www.vwheritage.com/vw_spares_Inner-wing-battery-tray-Golf-Mk2-left-191803105_act_shop.product_pID_47419415_lang_EN_country_GB.htm?crumbStartPage=1 And I think so is the O/S/F inner wing panel, this is similar to the battery tray side, but fits to the drivers side. Part number is ( 191803106 ) Price is £12.70 http://www.vwheritage.com/vw_spares_Inner-front-wing-repair-Golf-Mk2-Right-191803106_act_shop.product_pID_47419644_lang_EN_country_GB.htm?crumbStartPage=1 Hope this helps Si :thumbleft:

Right drove to Seals Direct to New Milton which is only about 17ish miles from me, and spoke to the guys there regarding some door and boot rubber seals. The door seals he sorted and is a very good match, their part number is ( ETS2581 ) is £7.54 per meter, so I bought 8 mtrs which is more than enough for me, as advised from the other guys on this thread. The total including VAT was £72.38 which I though was really good. They have got seals to do the boot as well but the only thing is though, it doesn't have the lip on the inner side which covers over the plastic trim, so your able to see the gap between the trim and body work, so for this reason I didn't get any for the boot only bought new stuff for the doors. Not sure if anyone needs a new bulkhead to bonnet rubber seal, but you can purchase the proper one from VW Heritage. The part number is ( 701823737 ) the price is £29.95 It's 1470mm long and you can just trim the length down to fit. Fits MK2 Golf - MK2 Jetta - All Corrado's Photo's 1 & 2 is the old bulkhead to bonnet rubber seal Photo's 3, 4, and 5 are of the old boot rubber seal Photo's 6, 7, and 8 are of the door rubber seal Photo's 9, and 10 are of the new door rubber seal Plus also the guys at Seal Direct said I could have these, small bits of round rubber free of charge, they said it should help to keep the joint together, where the two halfs of the rubber seal meet. Yeah they are really helpful at Seal Direct. Hope this helps anyone else who wants to replace their various rubber seals. Si

Yes a real classic really nice are these the VW Karmann Ghia. Another classic vw saved, nice one. My brother bought a 1967 T1 camper from America, he works on it at the weekends, so I'm sure it will look quite good when he's completed the restoration on it. Your VW Karmann Ghia looks in good condition, unlike my brothers camper, Si :salute: :thumbleft:

Might be placing an order with Seals Direct Ltd for some door and boot seals, as mine are warn out well the boot one is anyway. I'll be phoning them tomorrow around mid morning. http://www.sealsdirect.co.uk/shopping.asp?intDepartmentId=68 I'll post up the 2013 price just in case anyone else needs any. Si

Hello mate, yes and no, if the gap is small then yes seam sealer should be ok, as it will set quite firm but still be flexible slightly. If the gap is 4mm to 5mm or more then I would use Tiger seal, as this sets really hard and I'd say is the stronger bond out of the two. hope this helps. Si
-
Cheers guys like you say they're not new but used. Yeah that's what mine have scratches down them on the outside of the glass, is that coursed by the outer window scraper ? Cheers Dragon Green for the link, that's not bad £65.92 for a new window glass. Yeah theres some really good stuff on that site. Thanks again. Si :thumbleft:

Has anyone seen or tried these new windows off Ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-Corrado-CORRADO-O-S-F-Door-Drop-Glass-/330923902465?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4d0c9a0601 Cheers Si

Hello Edd, the carbon cold air sensor is that the one in the inlet manifold, yeah it could be that. What's the VSR thing ?? Not the rare VSR inlet manifold is it ??? Things that can course the CO to fail are: vacuum leak lambda sensor air flow sensor catalytic converter coil / coil pack Non standard ECU fitted Sounds like your misfire issue is related to your high CO level. Edd have your car connected to a diagnostic scanner with the engine running, and then with the engine off but with ignition on, and see what error codes come up if any ? Hope this helps Si

Hello there, I would use SEAM SEALER or TIGER SEAL. SEAM SEALER is very easy to apply and stays flexible, where as TIGER SEAL once it's set does become a rigid hard bond, so really depends on what you want. Seam sealer is used to cover over areas that have been welded. Tiger seal is used for attaching the inner door membrane behind the door card. Plus both have been none to be used on body panels, for reattaching them and so on. SEAM SEALER can be purchased in tin or tube form (TIN from £10.00 to £14.00) (TUBE from £3.00 to £8.00) and I think the TIGER SEAL is only in tube form (TUBE from £7.00 to £13.00) I would say one thing though never apply sealant to bare metal, as it could hold moisture, always prime / paint the metal first. Hope this helps. Si

Hello there, Are you getting a smell of extra fuel, or is there black, blue, or white smoke from the exhaust at all, are the dash lights or head lights flickering at all when the power suddenly reduces, is there any clicking or buzzing noises at all, or any funny smells. yeah the two fuel pumps can play up but it would be all the time or when fuel is very low in fuel tank, which of course you've already found out and read about by the sounds of it. Erm it could be the hall sensor in the distributor, when these become worn / weak they can affect the engines performance, by not allowing it to rev once started or can have the fault when the engine is up to temp as you are having. Could also be a fault with the Lamda sensor as again these can affect the engines performance when up to temp. The coolant temp switch is the other thing that can course the error that you have, when these go wrong the car won't start when engine is warm or cold, or if it does it will run like a bag of pooh. But you've said that you've replaced this ? Could be head gasket that's on it's way out which only really shows it's self once the engine is up to temp, i.e misfiring and loss of power. Check water and oil levels and check they haven't mixed with each other, plus carrier out a compression test on the 4 cylinders just to rule it out. Also make sure that the coolant hoses aren't too hard i.e too much pressure with in coolaning system, as this can be a sign of (Head Gasket going) or Thermostate sticking. Warn valves that may only affect the performance when the engine is up to temp, again this can be checked via a compression test. Check valve timing via cam belt, timing marks are on the cam and crank pulleys, just in case ? Ignition coil can play up when they're hot after 10 mins of driving, which can produce a weakened spark. Exhaust catalytic converter these can play up when they're old. 1) Your vehicle’s fuel efficiency suddenly drops. 2) Your vehicle doesn’t accelerate when you step on the gas pedal. 3) Your vehicle may refuse to start. 4) Your vehicle fails an emissions test. 5) Check Engine light comes on. Hope this helps. Si :thumbleft:

Hello there have a look at this link http://www.kouki.co.uk/utilities/visual-tyre-size-calculator and scroll down to the Tyre Width Equivalency Table, it will show you the min and max tyre you can fit to that rim i.e 5.5 Hope this helps. Si
