with the inlet off, you should be able to guide it down from inside the engine bay, but you will need to get the original 1 off first

hes had the job done by a garage and paid £300 for rebuild head and gasket, but i thought i coulda fixed it for £10 with a new rocker cover gasket

can a headgasket leak outwards? as my mates 1.4 gold mk3 has an oil leak right where the headgasket is but i told him it was the rockker cover leaking but he swears its the head gasket. Surely its impossible for a head gasket to leak from an oil way all the way to the outside edge of the head?

bastuk also seem to be the only comapny that do a 2.5" bore for a 16v or g60. Im running a custom 2.5" with no cat straight to the backbox and its well loud, got even louder when i fitted the 4branch, but its quiet in 5th 8) :lol:

if its just to tie you over then aslong as you dont cain it, id of thought it wwould be fine. VEEDUBBED runs a 9a 16v/g60 on stacked head gaskets and he hasnt had any probs within 2 years

my old 1.8 16v engine made 162bhp at the fly and that was 115 at wheels

im also interested in this as currently doing same conversion. the temp sender has 4 pins, can you just solder the dash wire straight to 1 of those pins? -
you need to check you have fuel at the engine. yours may have 2 fuel pumps

theres a reason why vw charge that much, the ebay ones arent accurate will cause all sorts of running probs, and you will end up changing it to a bosch one, been there done that

the g40 plugs a w5dpo and g60s are w6dpos ot something like that. Both are platinum so have longer service life

system pressure is normally around 4bar i think so about 60psi

ive got 1 on my g, thing is, heats gota go somewhere, just means the head will get hotter i expect?
