My g wouldnt start the other morning, trying to fire but just not firing up. Checked i got good spark on all leads, took out plugs to find they are black. Not powdery black, more like shiny black? Just heated the tips up on my cooker, whacked em back in, and its running again. Gone for a short drive and its running fine now and has cleared any missfires. What can i do to prevent further problems? co pot set to 450 as pere the sns chip instructions and its running red tops, also plugs are recently new 6dpos Also i have to put my foot half way down on pedal and crank for prob 5 secs before it fires in the mornings?

i got mine for a bargain of £30 as a typo on ebay. they are normally about £200. i made the rest of the pipe work up with bends from a 2.5" stainless steel exhaust. If i was going to do it again, id want to keep the standard front bumper and use a smaller 1 lower down

inter cam timing as in cam to cam

im doin a 1.8t conv for mate at the moment. made the engine loom myself and got the ecu de-transponded

i bet its timing. my old valver was exactly the same until i took it to stealth racing, they found the woodruff key in the cam had slipped and threw all the timing out, came out with more torque at 2ooorpm than i had 6000rpm and 60bhp up They said the first way to tell if inter cam timing is out is by poor mpg on gauge

My mate has a storm rado 2.9, he needs to know if its 0bd1 or obd2, how can we tell? Hes after a shrick inlet manifold for it if anyone has 1 forsale?

in did, it was a bit of a pain but thats cos i bought the 1 pressure tested to 4bar and 1000bhp :lol:

possible limp mode? check all grounds are good and clean?

i think the only difference between 2.8 and 2.9 is the 2.8 has a ramp in the inlet tract tat restricts airflow on small butterfly openings, this can be ported out. I may be wrong though

you can mod the water outlet or i believe bbm make 1 that will give you clearance

i just drowned all connections with fairy liquid, and disconnected butterfly linkage and with 2 sec blasts, shut the butterfly and looked for bubbles

yes, set everything to tdc, the rotor arm should point to a small line on the outside edge of dizzy with cap off
