best mods are 65mm pulley and red tops but best isnt always practical
-
i believe you can trim them down aswell? remember someone saying the bit comes off the end of the blade?
-
you need 2 passenger arms i think, that will be why its touching, the juddering is cos the arms are so dam good, they press hard on the glass
-
just dampness on the electrics, spray some wd40 around the leads etc as this displaces the water
-
My inlet temps drop to ambient and below with FMIC and water injection. Didnt notice any downsides once the FMIC was fitted, and it has alot longer pipe routing. The standard g60 piping IMO is well restrictive anyway

get the best head you can afford

Im running a piper 285 and theres power everywhere
-
you need to disconnect the red/black plug near the coil when you time it
-
and you need a different oil filter housing for the 6a. Fit the complet 2l engine on the 1.8 injection, this in theory is less bhp as the 2l makes 136bhp but you can fit the 1.8 inlet cam and this should give you the 150bhp

heres a few pics

sns will be better than amd
-
if you go 65mm you will need red tops and remap, but IMO its well worth it. You should be able to fit a 68mm with no probs

totally feel the difference, just pulls so much harder now when it kicks in. Other benifits inc it totally steam cleans your combustion chambers removing carbon deposits. The water cools the inlet charge down (4 degrees is alot) and the meth i beleive increases the octane of the fuel? Will take some pics later today Does anyone know if the rado headlight washer bottle is different to the golf mk2 1, as the mk2 1 i have fouls the weighted shift rod?
-
The bigger bottle fouls on the weighted shift rod. Just checked my Air inlet temp gauge and as soon as the WI kicks in,it drops 4degrees
-
sounds right but they are a pain to get right. Your having to advance the dizzy to get it running so id suggest your a tooth out. Undo tensioner, slip 1 tooth round and do back up again

Ive just finished making up my own water injection set up. Its all working and really has made a big difference, and you feel it kick in. I basically used a cold start injector ( i know the water will prob kill it but its an experiment) Then drilled into my screen wash bottle and fitted a headlight washer pump which are huge and seem very powerful (kept blowing pipes off) Il post pics up very soon. Questions are what screen wash is best to use or best place for methenol? Im using 50/50 screen wash and distilled water at the moment. When should it kick in? Ive got it set at about 7psi at the moment. Im also open to opinions of this set up, i know it works and makes a difference but obviously is no aquamist kit I also know ford used 2 screen washer pumps on there WI set up on some escort cossies

As jim says, once its all done you'll love it
-
I reckon its the flexi join. I have the parts spare if you get stuck mate
-
16vs use metal inserts
-
Best to tap injector back on with a mallet and screwdriver to ensure they are in nice and tight
-
The 16v box is useless in every gear for a g60
-
I have a scorpion backbox for a 1.8 16v forsale
-
well i thought it was good
