42mm came standard on all corrados,50mm on golf 16vs. IMO avoid the 50mm as it makes your car sluggish till 5k. Ive tried every option and my car feels the most livliest with the very early golf 16v 41mm manifold with longer runners! VW used the smaller diameter inlets to boost torque as the corrado is heavier than the golf

bally, just for me,can you measure center of hub to lip of wheel arch
-
I got a set of 10mm race leads for £60
-
sometimes on that bit of loom is the windscreen wiper motor wires
-
I used to do the modded chainwhee;s for £35 but stealth charged £75.I think the cam your lookin at already has the modded chainwheel
-
My leccy driver mech is broke  Can it be replaced with 1 from a passat or something? Also, ive noticed they are riveted in,are they easy to change? Thanks in advance
-
buy it,thats wot i have.As long as it has a modified chainwheel on it which corrects the timing by 6degrees.Me and my mate started making these cams about 2 years ago,and ive sold quite a few so its proberly 1 of mine lol
-
ive got same in my bmw lights, full and dip beam bulbs!
-
Heres a pic of mine, floor to arch front 530mm floor to arch rear 560mm hub to arch front 270mm hub to arch rear 290mm so my cars lowered 90mm front and 70mm rear

was his name martin by any chance?

The only accurate way to measure, and the way vw measure is from the centre of the hub nut,to the lip of wing.I think clean the thread up and get people to put this measurement in. VW state something like 340mm from hub to arch so if yours is 300mm then yours lowered 40mm etc

That would be a good 170ish bhp! mine flies
-
stealth are the only place that do it as far as i know,i drove all the way from the isle of wight to get mine down and it was the best move ive ever made for perfromance increases
-
nice! use silver indicator bulbs tho
-
It really needs doin on rollers. My timing is set to 9degrees advance, then control pressure on wur is set to 48psi when warm after setting system pressure to 5.4 bar and co level at 2% If you must do it ya self, you need top drill through the tamper proof cap on back of wur and using the correct fuel pressure gauges turn the 6mm (i think) to lower the pressure to 48psi

Where can i get a manifold to fit twin 40 webers to my 16V?
flusted replied to wcrado's topic in Engine Bay
I got 162bhp from a 1.8 16v with just a 4 branch and a different inlet cam. Theres a chap on gti forum running itbs and a chap with the same spec engine running k-jet,the itb motor makes 199bhp,the k-jet 202bhp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know your trying to squeeze more power out but im just saying that the time and money would be better spent elsewhere where it counts. a common fraze is "carbs have a serious injection problem, they dont have it!" -
Got bbs rc copies at mo and got offered some venoms but judging by the response il stay well clear! :help: :salute:

1 tune up at stealth costs approx £50 so hows k-jet tuning expensive? This would give you approx 155bhp on a standard 1.8 16v on k-jet. i think "more power=more fuel" doesnt work with carbs, its just more fuel and hot air Carbs will not give a good power increase -
Mines becoming a "interesting modified" corrado!
-
im gettin a general vibethat people dont like venoms!
-
Anyone got any pics of a rado with venoms on?
-
Is this the same for all models as il be attempting my 16v 1 soon?
-
really determined to stick with k-jet purely for cost. Was guna put the charger inlet pipe to meterhead, then outlet to throttlebody but was concerned if the charger was sucking on tickover,it would suck the flap up and cause engine to flood rather than using the isv to idle? Not that clued up on chargers so keep the ideas comin!

Ive had a look on vortex and there is loadsa info on there so im guna go ahead with the conversion!!! il keep ya posted and put pics up when i can
