Yup, can only confirm that DL will insure modded cars, but they charge for it. Whgen I first had my Mk1 Rocco (heavily modded, bodykit, engine, wheels, LHD at that, the lot basically) they did insure it but at £630 TPFT  I then switched to HIC fully comp with an agreed valuation (proved very useful as shortly afterwards some Nissan git decided to rear-end me :x ) and only paid £420  Still with DL with my Rado, paying £700 TPFT, ouch, guess that's Coventry for you. Will try some other co's soon to get some better deals. Tempest

Have you already tried disconnecting the Lambdasensor? As soon as I had checked my blue temp-sender (little experiment involving a pot of water brought to the boil whilst reading both temps and Ωs and voila, the characteristic NTC curve which beautifully matched the one in the Bentley, so it wasn't the sender :D ), I disconnected the Lambdasensor, blasetd through all the crud that had gotten stuck inside of my engine from running way too rich (cleaned all the plugs as well), and hey presto, I've been having power at the bottom end where I never thought I had any 8) Now just need to find a dry day where I can get underneath and exchnage the Lambdaprobe ... Rain, when will it stop? Tempest

Have a look here where I'm doing a group buy for some In.Pros, admittedly buying them abroad, but with shipping to the UK, and cheaper than the FK, as it would seem  Tempest
-
Correct, as "Supercharged Junkie" has already said, GB is part of the EU, so no discounts on the VAT, but neither any import charges :) OK, will start cashing cheques Monday, transfer money / order by Wednesday or Thursday, transfer can take a few days, so you'll get them after the Malvern VW event  Tempest
-
@ MikeVR6: OK. Anyone else wishing to join, do so asap, as I'll start the ball rolling on Monday. Jeez, we'll all be driving around with smoked In.Pros   Tempest
-
PM sent, Sadinn. Will wait 2 more days, then this ball's gotta start rolling, me cashing in the cheques, transferring the money across and ordering  Tempest

True, I use Autoglym's High Resin Polish (only if needs be), but use Turtle Wax Gloss Guard to wax all my 3 cars. Water beads up nicely, it lasts quite long, and somehow keeps the white Rado looking cleaner for longer, even Jims16V has commented on that, as with white cars you'd expect the worst. Haven't tried the Autoglym equivalent, the Extra Gloss Protection yet. Tempest

@ Dan: PM on its way :) Tempest

Just a quickie folks: Are the following folks still interested in the tail lights: Sadinn, PhatVR6? Still need payment from 1 more person before I have payment for 6 sets (although 7 have apparently confirmed, just waiting for payment from the last 2). Quite keen to proceed, as some have already been waiting for almost a week, but need payment from everyone in order to do 1 bank transfer. Sorry to rush things, but the 2004 season is about to start, what better way to start than with a new set of In.Pros  Tempest

Sent you a PM, Supercharged ! BTW: Welcome aboard, happy Corrado-ing here 8) Tempest

Nice one, congrats! Another happy Rado-owner and driver, ahhhh, nice! Tempest
-
Just an update: Have received the monies from 4 folk so far, will only bank the cheques once I have received all (so no worries), as I need at least 6 to go ahead with the price mentioned above. BTW: It's not too late yet, should you wish to join in and want a set as well! Cheers, Tempest

That's probably where the Milltek comes in nicely. I have one on my Rado and motorway cruising is more than pleasant at any speed. OK, my G60 does not have any mods, but I know from the Powerflow on my Storm Rocco that the exhaust alone can make a huge difference in the noise department. Tempest

mk1 valver on 45's ,,,erm little update with sound clip

 Back to topic: Yes, you will have to be willing to travel to find what you want. I for one found mine all the way up in Aberdeen (live in Coventry), it was fairly original bar a G-Lader rebuild by Jabba (receipts included), 17" alloys, erm, yes, it was a US-spec LHD Rado, one reason why I wanted it 8) Did enjoy the drive all the way back home again. If you're not too fussed about where the steering wheel sits, you could also have a peek on the German equivalent to Autotrader: http://www.mobile.de Tempest -
Congrats, hope you 2 will have many happy years to come 8) Having been used to the enjoyment of driving my 2 Roccos, the difference to when I bought my G60 Rado was a little less, but still convincing wenough as it replaced my ailing daily Polo-driver  I too enjoyed the 600 mile trip down from Scotland  all the way back home, that was gorgeous 8) Looks nice your Rado, what wheel are they? Tempest
-
Ah, glad someone else has noticed this on the G60, as I was already beginning to wonder ... motorways is fine, well sort of, not really compared to my previous 1.0 litre Polo  : did 550 km on 35 litres of petrol (approx. 44 mpg  ) Xmas 2002 But I do thoroughly enjoy the G60 on the ohter hand :D Tempest
-
I always had that sneaky suspicion comparing my G60 to my mates over in Germany, OK, he's done a lot to it, but still ... Does anyone know how much one of the BK299s weighs in Kg (sorry not being British I can't handle Stones or whatever  )? Possibly worthwhile comparing that to some weights of 16" wheels, which I'm more and more starting to look at, planning on going Euro-look, i.e. deeeeep dish :D Tempest
-
@ Peter: Would you be able to do the mounts for a G60 as well, as they're hydraulic? Tempest
-
You guys also piked the right time of day, sun settling, lights on, nice shots 8) Tempest
-
Haven't done this myself yet, but know a few people in Germany who do exactly the same thing, so there must some element of truth to the oven/freezer approach, well scientifically it makes sense, anyway :D Tempest
-
There's always gotta be one  . No problem, hop on and I'll get you a set of clears, though they are also priced at £159 (incl. postage to the UK) rather than £145 for the smoked In.Pros. And just to whet your appetite for the clears, here's a piccie of them attached to a Alfa Romeo-coloured Rado: Tempest
-
Right, I've got 6 peeps, so I'll start PMing payment info to all relevant folks. As all 6 folks want the smoked In.Pros, the total amount will be £146.67 (that's for the lights, postage and the international bank transfer fee divided by 6) per set. As soon as payment has arrived I'll get the money wired across to Germany with all the address details for the German seller to ship directly to you :) Tempest
-
OK, had a confirmation by PM from 4 so far, need the other 4 to PM as well (if still interested), otherwise I may not be able to get the discount !!! Cheers, Tempest
-
You can then probably imagine how I felt, sitting inside, BANG!, getting out, walking to the rear ... the images still follow me around like a nightmare. Thanks anyway to Campaign aka Jeremy, who immediately came to the rescue as a witness, otherwise there most likely would have been one less Nissan driver on the face of this planet and me in jail  Yup, that was at Roadstar 2003 in the Netherlands, looking forward to this year's event 8) Tempest
-
OK, had some feedback from Germany re. group discounts: Hope you're sat down  Black ones cost £145 incl. postage to the UK Clear/red ones cost £159 incl. postage to the UK How's that for some bargaining skills, already regret having paid too much for mine  If you want to go ahead I will need payment in advance (PM me), and I will have to split the bank transfer charge amongst all folk buying a set of lights, as with this sort of amount (i.e. 8 sets of lights), I won't send cash, and Germans typically don't take credit cards. Bank transfers to the continent are not for free  , my bank charges me £10 for a transfer to a German account. So far I've got the following peeps short-listed: Black lights: Bobbywhacker Sadinn Woody PhatVR6 andyvlw insomniak smokiee clear/red lights: Ruffy Could all of the above PM me, if you're still wanting to order these lights, for payment details ASAP, so that I can get the ordering going? I would need your full address as well, as I'll ask the seller to post directly to your address, thereby cutting out delays and further inner-UK postage (as opposed to having the lot first shipped to me). Cheers, Tempest
