  1. Must be me, but somehow modern cars are more reminscent of high risers or block of flats, call them what you like, but they should come with a lift as standard equipment to get in: First floor, doors opening  Another beautiful day, this time it was time for a trip to the sound of a V8. Off to Bosworth Battlefield for a bit of culture, parked the landshark between 2 modern cars and observed my opening statement:  Tempest
  2. With such beautiful weather I couldn´t keep my Mk1 Rocco in its garage any longer, it was already trying to get out  Rather than just a drive around the place, which in its own right is always a treat, I decided to go somewhere: Mallory Park, to check out whether there would be any track action. Indeed there was, a sort of run-what-you-brung event, so had a good wander around the place. Always such a great relaxed atmosphere there. The took some pics, of course also of my baby :) : Tempest
  3. Challenge accepted... ;) Well? Tempest
  4. There is a rather large grass field on the opposite side of the main road leading past the Elsecar Heritage Centre, where I usually spoit quite a few Rados for this event. Tempest
  5. No specific commercial Corrado-only trading stand as such, but the CCGB typically will have some stuff on sale, and there will be loads of commercial traders that do a range of VW items, where you may be lucky to find something Corrado-specific. Tempest
  6. Yup :) Other questions already answered. Ah, but for real buffage you need both shoulders for maximum effort. So, more chances for the other candidates in the concourse  Tempest
  7. Got an iPad clone (based on the Samsung tablet) last April, running Android Gingerbread, and have used it more than expected. Playing Angy Birds on an 8¨ screen when getting a bit bored at car shows is perfect  Other than that, it mainly has enhanced my living room hifi, which can now play back Internet radio stations, music on USB sticks, whilst in the living room then also quickly surf the net, watch pictures with friends and family (i.e. bore them to death ). Tempest
  8. Yup, car park will be pretty much filled with VWs on the day. 10 Rados on the CCGB stand, don´t know how many more in the Concourse, but at least 3. Tempest
  9. Well, looks like Mr Kip's up for it, not sure how, but hey  Tempest
  10. Let's do a support vehicle / group trip thing for Jim to DG then  Tempest
  11. Will get back nearer to the weekend :) Tempest
  12. Wouldn´t worry too much about the low oil level. If the oil warning light comes on, that´s when it´s a reason for acting immediately. Looks like now you´ve still caught the low level in plenty of time. Regarding the mayo: Too many short (low mileage) or short time-wise trips, engine not fully warmed up. Give it good blast down the motorway and check again. You´re OK for getting to DG and back on Friday? Tempest
  13. Just tow the Fiat with the Rado  Tempest
  14. Nope, it's still an A3, which itself is just a better Goof. Although a better looking one than the Goof, too many chavs now own (have stolen ) one. Car's got the wrong reputation, doesn't look as nice as a Rado, get modded to death by chavvie owners (airride and all, just been to UD, and have seen what the "future" of A3 ownership looks like). Tempest
  15. No worries, at least my reaction proved to me that the Rado-fire in me is still going :) Tempest
  16. Spotted that one, too, appears several times when Andrew Neil is Bradford (?) Programme iself was so-and-so, but yes, I did shout out (being on my own ) ¨Hey, there´s a Rado!¨ Tempest
  17. Have to admit the winter months do do a lot of damage to Rado-love. Noticing it myself at the moment: My Rado just sits in its garage waiting to be retaxed beginning of May, whilst the 928 is keeping me amused, and not really lusting for the Rado at the moment, so to speak. The Mk1 oddly enough is a different affair. Couldn't wait to reatx that, which was conveniently early this year, with the Mk1 to go onto the SciroccoRegister stand at UD. Stupid grin on face all the way to UD and back again. I am hoping the same will be true with my Rado, when I retax. I am, however, holding on to the Rado, because I know I will regret having sold my Rado if I did sell. Seeing some Cs at UD did re-ignite the fire, too. So I'm currently working to the premise of keeping the Rado locked away, and not sell, the love will increase all by itself :) I'd suggest the same may work for you: Keep your C, the itch will return, may take a bit longer maybe, but once it has returned, won't it be nice to know that you can actually enjoy a Rado there and then? Tempest
  18. Speechless, and totally the opposite to what I as a moderator do on the German Roccoforum :( Seriously dents my trust in the for-sale section and some of its members on this forum. Tempest
  19. Will happily take the track rods :) Sent a PM. Tempest
  20. Nice one, received mine today, too. Well done to the authors, and editor(s)! Bit all our fault (those that had seen the preview copy that is) for not spotting the 2011. I hadn´t spotted that either. Oh well, far tooe xcited seeing it finished and going out to members :) Happy reading! Tempest
  21. Considering both brands now belong to VW, hmmm. Tempest
