  1. It never entered the Concourse at Stanford, as it´s too heavily modified, so would be (rightfully so ) refused entry at the gates. It may even be that you in actual fact have never seen my Mk1 in the flesh yet :-O Right, still jiving to the tunes of the Blues Brothers, that´s what i went to see at the Belgrade theatre in Cov last night,. Test drive of the Mk1 next and then off oop norf  Tempest
  2. Phew, hope the repair has worked. Noticed increasing brake pad sticking on my Mk1 recently from the front right :-O Investigated today, and as these things go, it sometimes can be simply a little bit of luck, as I noticed test-tightening various bolts that the clamp bolt for the ball joint wasn´t tight enough. Torque wrench out, apply, and the bolt threaded! OK, still early enough on a Saturday to get a spare bolt (VW obviously closed, duh! Plus they´d need to ordderit in anyway, again duh! Like I need it now, not Tuesday!) from no less place than Halfrauds, as my local motor factor also needed to order the bolt in! It´s a standard M10 bolt, folks, but hey, gone are the days of proper hardware stores. Anyway, test-drive tomorrow, as I´m off to the theatre witht a few friends tonight. So here´s hoping all will be fine, else it´ll be a delivery van tomorrow  Tempest
  3. Thanks to Sam indeed for organising this nice little event. Thoroughly enjoyed it, the good long(ish) run in my Mk1 from Cov to Peterborough (love that Peterboro' bypass road, wish Cov had something like that! Instead we have the dreaded inner ringroad with potholes galore - a no-go zone for my cars anyway ), meeting new peeps, and the cars, of course. Well-deserved win for best mod, Sam :) Nice touch those prizes, actually ! No less than 2 G60 Rados in attendance (I am going to faint now ) :) My Mk1 won´t give me the Easter egg it won today  Well, molten choc can be removed ... nah, managed to get it home in one piece, nice and solid still :) Right, pics: Click Here! Tempest
  4. Ready to set off, thanks for the thumbs up on speed bumps. Streetview seemed to give me the same impression, bumps manageable  Tempest
  5. Hmm, no, front skirt is a Rieger one, so non-flexing and difficult to remove, will crack instead :( Will have a quick look using Google maps, if the roads are on there. Tempest
  6. Speed bumps? Need to know, since if I am coming, it'll be the Mk1 with 50 mm ground clearnce on the front skirt :) Tempest
  7. ELRA = Elektrischer Rückhalteautomat :) Loosely translates into "Electrical restraint automaton", obviously the automatic seatbelts are meant  Tempest
  8. Didn´t see me in my German mates´ E39 Beemer around Karlsruhe (if you did drop down south that far along the A5)? Had a good boot in that and found it disturbingly nice :-O Nice to hear about your roadtrip. Tempest
  9. Must get together one day I reckon :) Tempest
  10. CCGB have booked a stand: To get on, simply select the CCGB from the drop-menu on the autometrix website, when booking your ticket, or so I am told  Tempest
  11. Good to see there were THAT many Rados that had turned up, superb! Committee members weren't allowed out , so we didn't get to see the nice shiney metal, whilst instead we had über-prepared ourselves for the battle with the Gaydon ceiling mount projectors, which much to our surprise worked immediately this year (no prodding and suchlike needed this year!), both video AND sound even! In process of contacting the chap who took pictures on our way out, as Chris and me had a very good chat with him prior to the AGM start time :-) Tempest
  12. Clubstand now full. Attendees on page 1 list updated :-) Tempest
  13. DO NOT USE THE CCGB WEBSITE EVENTS BOOKING SYSTEM FOR THIS EVENT!!!! I noticed some people using the CCGB website events registering system for this event, and to avoid clashes, please do NOT use that system for this event (Stanford Hall)! I had to start the ticket re-allocation for Stanford Hall at a time when the CCGB Events Registering system was not available yet. All other events will be handled through the CCGB website events registering system. PM me your full name, full address details and CCGB membership number if you want a space on the clubstand at Stanford Hall. Tickets are allocated on whoever sends me a PM first. List in first post will be updated whenever I get a chance to (usually in the eve after work, when I'm home again). Tempest
  14. And all he had was the ELRA and those knee(-crusher)-bars! Seemed to have successfully prevented him from being injured any further or even died, though. Tempest
  15. Even the ELRA? Someone must have paid a fortune for that back in Germany, where that was available only as a very pricey option. Tempest
  16. Once again, sorry to those folks, whose names I have lost on the original list, that I had stored on the CCGB forum. You will have to PM me your details (full name, CCGB membership number, full postal address) again, so I can send out a ticket to you. First ones to PM me are chosen. For future events I am trialling Dave´s new Joomla events calendar thingy, where (hopefully) members can register themselves :-) - See Stonor Park thread for details. Tempest
  17. Yup, wot he says ^^ Asleep till May 1st, though. Tempest
  18. Just had a play with the new events calendar on the CCGB website, Dave´s excellent work basically :-) Can you folks visit the website: http://www.corradoclub.org, then logon, of course, then scroll down till in the right hand column you see the text ¨View full calendar¨ Click on this link, and then using the arrow on the right hand side at the top of the 3-month calendar, click till the month June appears in the centre. Then select Sunday 5 June ¨Stonor Park VW¨. Please now try the following: Enter all the relevant details in the fields labelled Full Name, Email, CCGB Membership No, and Reg No, then click on Register. Let me know if that works OK, because that would be ace, if it does :-) Tempest
  19. Nope, not had my Rocs at UD this year, alas too early in the season. First one out on 1/4/2011 :-) Tempest
  20. Nope, I am having to post up again, asking people to reconfirm, but haven´t got the stand yet. That won´t be till beginning till mid April, according to the organisers (since we want something special, of course ;-) ) Tempest
  21. Great work, indeed :-) Tempest
  22. DO NOT USE THE CCGB WEBSITE EVENTS BOOKING SYSTEM FOR THIS EVENT!!!! Woohay, tickets have arrived !!! 10-car clubstand for the CCGB now confirmed. Due to me having stored attendee lists on the CCGB forum, and the forum being inaccessible at the moment, I will have to request you guys and gals to start all over again, sorry. Entry is 8 GBP on the gate. Enter the grounds through the South Kilworth Gate (your ticket will have a little map on it, and the South Kilworth gate will also be sign posted on the day). Arrive before 11 am! Gates open from 8 am onwards. So, if you want to stick your C on the CCGB club stand at Stanford Hall this year, please follow these very simple instructions (failing to do so will result in no ticket ): 1. PM me your full name, CCGB membership number, and full postal address, where you want me to send the ticket to. See, that was simple enough  First 10 through the gate (or PM, as it were). No need to post here, just PM me the above details. 1. Jim 2. OSV 3.Purple Tom 4.Rocket Ron 5. C5 OEM 6. B41LEY 7. Laser Mark 8. 16VG60 9.VROOM 10.Wendy Tempest
