I've been listening to the new Jazzanova Remixes 2002-2005 album, if anyone likes electronica mixed with south american/latin drums, 70s funk and chilled out jazz...get it!

I always have all my incubus albums in the glovebox too (they never get taken out!)

I was fond of those 12" vinyls. Bought a few at the time.

Great if you liked a particular song and wanted a long version of it.

e.g U got the look - Prince

Careless Whisper  George Michael with instrumental only version on the flip side.

Lots of tunes in this thread that I thing i need to get hold of...

(finally a British band, you might think)

It's alright you've got plenty of time to learn.... You should add some Aspects, Mark B and Blade, Aphex Twin OR AIM to your collection Selbekk ;)

Currently overplaying DJ Z trip - Best friends (the long lost bombshell mix) , Dj Shadow - entroducing, Aim - Means of Production... and can never really get enough of stuff on the Ninja Tunes and Grand Central Records Labels... (still prob tons I haven't heard!)

....Mary J in particular.

One of my favourite female singers. She is so talented. Quality amongst so much dross today IMO.

I remember first hearing Aretha Franklin in 1967 and being knocked out.

Mary J Blige follows competently in her tradition.

I even bought "What's the 411?" for a fiver about three weeks ago to complete my collection.

I wont pay £14 for her latest from HMV and Virgin, tho. Will get it when price comes down in a few weeks. HMV and Virgin are dying ducks unless they switch to other things. £40 for Live8 DVDs, there. £25 in Fopp, Edinburgh.

Sorry! - I digress!.
