neuon2003 0 Posted July 3, 2011 Finally made the effort to update my member thread and blog covering the refurbishment of the rear axle and front sub-assembly. http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?55215-And-then-there-were-two...big-update-time&p=729628&viewfull=1#post729628
toledo 0 Posted July 4, 2011 Stripped down, rubbed down and applied a couple of coats of Bilt-Hamber Hydrate 80 prior to top coats ready to fit. Also made a start on my front brakes, removing the discs and calipers ready for new 288mm set-up, this went well until i snapped the disc screw and then found that i only have one 18mm socket and no spanner the same size for removing the hub - strut assembly as i decided to replace the hub and also take off the old strut ready for replacement ! What i would give for a blow-torch and an impact wrench LOL
dalhalvaig 0 Posted July 19, 2011 Yesterday, drove it to work and back. Than Wash Wax and Rainx - I'm sure the mpg's better today
dalhalvaig 0 Posted July 19, 2011 Had to wash it again tonight. Not only did it rain after I washed it last night, but the C was Bombed by a Southside Seagull that had just had a curry...what a mess
Portent 0 Posted July 23, 2011 Tidied up the garage today so I can finally get both cars in the garage. The corrado is now assured of a snug dry parking space.

owen g60 10 Posted July 24, 2011 Replaced fuel pump.... fixed sunroof motor.... re-fitted front splitter.... removed crystal rear lights and replaced with smoked original ones. Been a good day.... now to treat the tiny bit of rust appearing on the rear nearside arch/sill.... best to catch it early :)
owen g60 10 Posted July 29, 2011 Got a 4 wheel alignment and wheel balance... Was getting a little twitchy under harsh acceleration and braking... All seems good now... Just waiting on a new temp sensor from my stealer :D
Portent 0 Posted August 4, 2011 Yesterday I repaired some of the wiring loom tape which had degraded over the years. The wiring was fine and I just needed to patch up the tape as a bit of preventative maintenance. I'm now thinking whether or not to go the whole hog and re-wrap all of it. But I think that's overkill so will probably leave it.
Sideways Steve 10 Posted August 4, 2011 Today I swapped over the hall sender in the speedo head and as a result my spoiler and MPG are both now working :)
dalhalvaig 0 Posted August 5, 2011 Sorted the rattle in the sunroof that was bugging me. Just a little bit of handle bar tape did the job. Now I can hear the other rattles properly.
UberMoose 10 Posted August 5, 2011 Stood in amazement staring at the back bumper for 5 minutes thinking dark, murderous thoughts after i'd discovered some c**t had clipped it whilst it was parked up & traded a load of red paint with me. Hopefully he/she is local, and I can beat the ****er half to death with my bare fists when I find them. Rant over
dalhalvaig 0 Posted August 6, 2011 Bit of black silicon sealant in the gaps at the top of th windscreen. Hopefully the rain won't get in any more...
beastie4126 0 Posted August 6, 2011 Replaced the NS split steering gaiter, reset the tracking and checked out the rollbar thats clouting the arms.
eurospec 10 Posted August 6, 2011 Went and got a supersprint exhaust for it from the scrappy, stopped the spoiler from squeaking when it goes down, and gave it a good old thrashing!
Portent 0 Posted August 6, 2011 I went out in her for the first time in a couple of weeks. It's lovely to drive especially after a break from it. I took the kids to the Brooklands museum which is quite near me. They got to sit in an old McLaren F1 car which was nice and the Concorde experience there was very interesting (apparently 30% of Concorde parts were made at Brooklands). There's something about that spoiler going up as you get up to speed that's addictive :D

Hopefully the rain won't get in any more... but still leaking at top left hand of screen. Also what are Mk3 stalks like? - Is that the same as later Corrado? And finally - stopped the exhaust knocking against the rear bumper, by sticking a tyre valve into the hanger rubber... cheers to the guy at McConechy's in Bearsden... Redfox 10 Posted August 8, 2011 (edited) Hi all, Only three weeks old with my Corrado, so spend some time to get the passenger side window electric knob working again. But it did. Got a new one for good future measure. Apart from taht I got my Christmas present early, by buying a set of BBS RC323 7,5*17 rims in as new condition. Very hard to find around my waters. Happy me:smug: Lot's of other stuff to do though, so when the weather clears up, I'll be doing some more. Cheers, Redfox Edited August 8, 2011 by Redfox a pic more

Redfox 10 Posted August 8, 2011 Thanks, I am pretty happy about them, right now. Let's see when I put them on, if they scrape or anything else. I was told they wouldn't, but who knows. After all, they are 7,5 inches, not the 7 inch version. They may need spacers or alike, but hope not. I have 205/40-17 F1's on them now, but would like to ask if they can adapt wider ones for the rear? Also I need the centering rings for VW, as the ones sitting there is for a mx-5. Cheers, Redfox
Portent 0 Posted August 10, 2011 Replaced my boot shelf straps with new ones from veedubmachine: http://www.veedubmachine.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=101_102&products_id=957 They are very slightly different but the same length so look fine.
