Crashed: Car at home now...to assess fixability

£90? You mean £184. I'm gonna go get it now and put it on the car.

 

I didnt realise you couldnt get 6 months tax over there, thats what i was refering to. Still, you should be able to get most of it back, you'll probably lose the cost of a months tax. Good luck sorting it all out, its a gutting experiance.

road tax is a customs and excise thing and should have no bearing on insurance cover. the one that counts with insurance is MOT. So I wouldn't panic about it.

 

Gutted for you about the car, WTF is happening to all these C's?

They were OK about it, I said the reason I didn't have my insurance docs with me is because I had them at work to get the tax.

Yep, this is bad beans mate, really gutted for you. Your car sounded like it was a nicely sorted example, a real shame to loose a goodun. :(

yeah sorry to hear about that mate, glad youre ok. Had a crsh myself christmas eve of all times. Not much damage at all, but enough to rack up 1600 quids worth of parts from VAG tutut. Therefore insurance wouldnt fix it so ive taken the task on. Got all the parts i want for £260 YEY!

 

Dont be too suprised if they write it off mate :(

sorry to hear that mate,you must be gutted but i suppose the shock must be masking that atm :-(

What usually happens though is I buy all this stuff, get bored of it and then sell it on here much cheaper!
