Had a look at the pics in the magazine, it certainly looks like an authentic R32, no pics of the engine though :? Modern diesels tend to give a slight puff when booting it. If you get major black clouds then the tuner is a muppet because they're cramming too much fuel into the engine. Follow a BMW 330 D driving quite hard and you'll see what I mean....that is if you can keep up! Can't find any info about the R32 diesel online anywhere, so the engine remains a mystery but it's very likely to be a tuned 2.0 TDi 4 pot, or maybe the 2.5 V6 TDI out of the Passat, but that's only 167bhp.
