However, I dont know whether you have got some crossed wires or confusion going on? But whilst i wish to cause no offense, I feel the need to correct you on an issue of ownership regarding my Corrado. I have owned my G60 since it was two years old. It has only ever been owned by one other who purchased it as a new vehicle from VW Audi Dealer Dovercourt in 1991. I feel you must be confusing my Corrado with another you have seen, as it has never been owned by someone in Jersey, let alone been there. Furthermore, the only person responsible for any of its modifications is myself. I must say however i'm now intrigued as to which Corrado you have mistaken mine for :). regards, John
Goldie 2 Posted August 22, 2014 The work you have put into the boot floor and drivetrain is unreal, i have never seen anything to match that on a Corrado..

VAG-hag 0 Posted August 22, 2014 Just caught up with the pics... Nice! Hats off John this car is awesome anyway but with your plans it's going to be hectic! Watching this thread with interest.
unclean 10 Posted August 24, 2014 Hey John, Build is looking absolutely awesome, glad to see it's progressing! Love the details on the interior with JMR-coloured rivets. I'll need to check it out in person when it's time for the next batch of work on mine :thumbleft: Cheers, Phil.
Jam.e.s 0 Posted March 1, 2015 Any updates? Very interesting build, gives me motivation to get my rear end together.
16VG60 1 Posted March 1, 2015 Hi Jam.e.s my build is much further on than the thread suggests but not as far as i would have liked, mostly due to the full on work profile we have with customers car projects at JMR, and partly due to personal injury. The engine and transmission are now planted into the chassis, as too is our prototype 4WD centre diff. I had hoped to have my Corrado back on the road this season but I think this is going to be unlikely, but not ruled out as yet. Will get some pics posted to update the build thread soon. Thanks for your interest.
Harry_G60 10 Posted April 29, 2015 Awesome work look forward to some more pics :) p.s. Is it possible for a underside pic of the exhaust so I can see how you ran the twin exit ?

16VG60 1 Posted September 13, 2015 My build is back on after an unplanned break. Have moved my car to our Workshop to make access and progress much better. The Omex 710 ECU is now largely wired in and progress is taking the build close to completion. Will post some pics soon.

16VG60 1 Posted September 14, 2015 Thanks for the encouragement Yan . This last series of mods have been eagerly awaited and not without a fair amount thought. Add to this fitting it around all our customers projects and life in general, it has been hard to keep focussed. Can't wait to get it running and mix it up with the Corrado Club once more

16VG60 1 Posted January 30, 2016 (edited) Hi all, It's been a while now since I last posted anything on my build thread and much has progressed since that time. Some of you may well have seen pics going up on our JMR Facebook page John Mitchell Racing, where we keep a weekly information stream going on what we are up to in the workshop. My last pics gave a glimpse of the initial build on our 16V 2.0 litre Turbo engine. Well that is finalised and installed now. The Omex 710 ECU has been installed and wired in, including the development of our own hard anodised alloy crank pulley with crank sensor pick up. The cooling system has been re-developed to delete the stock water pump in favour of an electric pump. We have integrated a dry sump system into the engine and installed all the oil supply and breather pipe work into the chassis. A completely new exhaust system has been developed and custom built from stainless 3" pipe and this will be side exit in front of the nearside rear wheel. Lastly, in accordance with our allegiance with Aquamist water methanol injection products, we have installed their latest generation system. Currently we have been re-developing the Corrado's underside aerodynamics and this has entailed the fabrication of an engine under tray and installation of a carbon fibre rear diffuser. Currently we are engaged with fitting the sill trims and completion of hanging the exhaust. This when complete will allow us to move forward with final checks to all electrical and mechanical systems, prior to the long awaited engine start. This we hope to to take place within the next two weeks . After three years of development and hard graft, this moment is much anticipated. Just a flavour of what has been occupying my dark winter nights , so close to completion now and then we start all the running in and testing the new systems. One system we are keen to see the results on, is our very own permanent 4WD centre Differential which we have designed and developed to replace the Haldex centre Diff and with it, a real answer to the 4WD conversion and the whole question over the use of part time 4WD the Haldex offers. Our Diff will give full time all wheel drive, through a mechanical non-electronic unit, which has been designed by us as a direct bolt on alternative to replace the Haldex. The pics show our prototype centre Diff installed. Following a full testing program this centre diff will go into production and offer an exciting new product for all vehicles using the early Haldex system. unclean 10 Posted January 30, 2016 Hi John, Great to see progress on this, and wow, what progress! Absolutely love the custom centre diff and under tray. Very much look forward to seeing this come to life. Hope the S3 is going well too. Cheers, Phil.
16VG60 1 Posted January 30, 2016 Hi Phil, I'm getting properly moist about hearing it fire into life, and then to hear it's war cry . My 8P S3 is enormously enjoyable now after all the work and tuning upgrades. I look forward to seeing you soon Bud.
seanl82 23 Posted January 30, 2016 Some incredible engineering skills there John, I'm just as excited about the independent rear suspension as the diff! Some fantastic upgrades on the horizon should you decide to produce more and sell these in the future!
