Ahhh yes - it was parked up on a stand with no front end installed... my Mum isn't best pleased with the appearance, I suggested a cover, but she's not keen. Hopefully once I can get rolling again it won't be too long before its mobile again. ;) Have you ever purchased front suspension arms for that Corrado you're building in the loft? ;) - I cant make up my mind... blast and paint the originals and use R32 bushes or just replace the lot... hmmmm Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Ian. Cheers Ian. I guess the R32 rears just tighten it up a bit more? does anyone know if they are still available from the dealer? Would there be any benefit to using them in the front as well? I got the Mayle one advertised on heritage as well, and if I'm honest, the quality is right up there with the original. Right got it... when you say rear, you mean the rear-est front bush press with R32 and use the standard on the pivot bush! ;) Out of interest has anyone tried the solid cast wishbones from an R32 or TT? Did notice this on the H&R site... "H&R Sport Springs are the ideal solution for the enthusiast who appreciates race-bred components designed for street use. They are suitable for use with your original dampers or will work with aftermarket sport dampers." - just wondered if people have had experience with that setup? One other thing I noticed when stripping my engine down is the water pump has a plastic impeller... this was a no-no on the MK4's are they let go when you least wanted it to... is this the same for the VR6? Geeba 0 Posted July 6, 2017 Just so people are aware - the Airtex water pump from ECP although it seems like pretty good quality also has a plastic impeller, I'm sat here holding one that turned up today... Geeba 0 Posted July 18, 2017 Sorry, fat fingers, should have been 02J - its the later MK4 onwards improved shift tower on the VR6 02A gearbox, MK4 cables and shifter mounted into a Polo housing so it fits the tunnel. Hotgolf on CGTi lightened my flywheel for £80 inc return P&P - he now trades as Gas and Gears LUK or Sachs clutch kit 3.68 diff is what the Americans got to pep up their 2.8s (184 BHP against our 190BHP), fitted to our MK3 GTi 16V, so the diff goes in the VR6 gearbox and gives quicker acceleration and a better spread performance wise. I have most of the above (and more) sat on shelves waiting for me to get my finger out. Hi Dox - just a quick question... do you know roughly how much weight comes off the flywheel?
