1. PM me your postal address Peter.
2. £15 plus postage (please say you can collect)
3. Got one of those going motors in my garage if anyone's interested. Also have the one touch switch and surround with sunshade.
4. Installed around the same time as the cams, possibly just before. Makes the car more eager to get moving. As for damage - I've done probably 10,000 miles with the chip installed with no issues. The gains are more to do with drivability rather than the claimed 10 BHP (which I doubt).
5. Welcome to the forum. Schmidts are a good choice.
6. Sure I've seen Tombstones fitted before. Personally I prefer my Corrado heated leather seats and Momo Millenium steering wheel.
7. You'll definitely see an improved top end. Mine will pull to the redline if required. Chipping is simple as in remove ECU, open it up, remove/replace chip, close and reinstall ECU. I had good results with a chip from this guy who accepted an offer of about half his buy it now price. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-CORRADO-2-0L-16V-PERFORMANCE-CHIP-Chiptuning-/321723950023?hash=item4ae83de3c7:m:mz3M81W_OGBIR_ySv8JPAJA The 50mm intake is in my opinion worth doing even if its for looks only. 8. I was gonna say the same. When it's very wet the belt on mine sometimes slips and judders, reminding me I need to tighten it up.
9. No dyno run but it's very smooth and pulls like a train beyond 4k. The cam change is well worth it with only gains across the rev range being noticed and much more willing to rev. The 50mm intake I fitted is supposed to loose a bit of torque, but if it does it's only slight and more that makes up for it with the top end pull. I use mine daily in hilly Yorkshire and love it to bits.
10. I dropped KR cams and did the cam belt and chain at the same time. The system just worked fine with stock timing. KR cams made my 9a much better to drive. I know from experience the 9a can be chipped, but this doesn't affect the injectors as they are mechanical, it just changes the advance curve (I think). This mornings commute saw 35 MPG. No doubt a rolling road set up would be beneficial to get the best out of any modifications.
11. I put a set of 4 Toyo's on my valver and the fronts only lasted 3000 miles whilst the rears are still going strong. Toyo's have good cost/grip but not for me with that amount of wear. Replaced the Toyo's with some Continentals which are OK but next time I'll try Uniroyal as I heard they're good in the wet.
12. Next weekend a no go as busy but could do Friday morning if that's any good for you.
13. Well if you fancy a run out to Bingley I'll take you for a spin so you know what to expect from a valver.
14. you could but it'd be tiny and doubt would sound as good as a set of components
15. If I had £60 or so pounds to buy a 2 way speaker, I'd find an extra £20 and buy some components as this really lifts the sound stage. As for mounting the tweeters, hole saw the originals like I did with the Hertz set.
16. Cheers, never noticed them before
17. Where is the ABS relay located?
18. 50mm manifold fits both 1.8 and 2.0 engines. And looks sweet as
19. can it not be welded, it would save you some hassle.
20. This should help, its where I did all my learning and includes one of the pictures I was trying to find http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?90146-50mm-intake-injector-seat-insert-removal/page2
